Hey y’all! I am excited to share the first of a few holiday looks. I can’t get enough of swing shirts and dresses! They are the perfect base for layering in Fall and Winter. This gray sweater dress is from Windsor Store and only $29! I pair it with boots and a scarf when it’s warmer and tights and booties when its chillier.
Plus, I need something comfy after the packed weekend we had and this busy upcoming week. Jeremy and I went to his friend’s wedding Saturday night and I realized of all the clothes I have, I don’t have any nice dresses. I am so excited to be going on my first-ever cruise next week and they let me know I need a fancier dress for the Captain’s Dinner (I’m such a rookie!) I didn’t feel like bracing the mall during this season, so I snagged this dress for $35 at Boohoo! It came in the mail yesterday and I love it even more in person 🙂 I will definitely be re-wearing for holiday parties.
We also went to my first WWE event. I’m not going to lie, it was extremelyyy entertaining and I would definitely go again. I could have used a drink or three (it was Sunday night so I passed), but regardless it was hilarious and I recommend going if it’s in your city just for the giggles!
I am so excited to share two of my favorite every day pieces with y’all today… this pink monogrammed vest and these freshwater pearl earrings! We all have those go-to earrings that we throw on with every outfit and these pearl earrings are that for me. As the daughter of a southern momma, I have been wearing pearls since my ears were pierced. When it comes to everyday earrings though, I need precious metal for the post because I have sensitive ears. These JTV earrings have a 14k yellow gold post so they are always comfy 🙂 And good news, I am giving a pair away to you! Just fill out the Rafflecopter below to enter. I will announce the winner on Novemember 12th!
As for the rest of this outfit, I scored this swing dress at Target for only $19 recently and loved it so much, I went back and got it in black as well. While the weather is still in the 60’s, I am rocking them with boots, but I’ll pair them with leggings when the temps drop.
On the fence about purchasing Hunter Boots? Fall is the best time of year to invest in a pair of Hunter Rain Boots. I have seen quite a few pairs of shoes ruined on a haunted trail and with all this crazy rain we’ve been having in the Carolinas, these boots are a necessity. Looking through my blog, I have worn these Pillar Box Red Hunter Boots hands down the most of any shoes and wanted to compile all of the looks to inspire you 🙂 Hunter boots do have weird sizing issues, but never fear! I explain what to know before buying Hunter Boots here.
1. With Skirts & Sweaters: This is my favorite way to style the classic rain boots. I’m not gonna lie… I’ll do anything to keep from having to wear pants! So I layer thermal knee socks under my Hunter Boots to keep warm and comfy in the Fall.
2.With Leggings: I love a good pair of leggings (read: I’m lazy) and I slip on my Hunter Boots to run outside and walk my dog, check the mailbox, and get safely to my car in a storm. Pair with an oversized sweater or layer with a dress and vest and you have a chic and functional outfit!
