As summer draws to a close (tear!), I scramble to wear my white outfits one last time before retiring them to storage until Easter. I was raised by the strict southern rule of no white after Labor Day which pains me because it is still in the nineties in North Carolina. So that means bye-bye to this dress that I picked up at H&M while visiting my best friend Kathleen in New York City earlier this summer.
Today was particularly hot and muggy and as I walked down Davidson’s (hopefully) abandoned railroad, I felt a heat that was definitely not weather-related. Apparently under one of the tracks was a yellow jacket nest that I so rudely disturbed and one stung the crap out of my toe. The cup of water in the fourth picture was a neccessity because the pain made me feel like I was going to pass out! Suffice it to say, I have a new appreciation for yellow jacket stings 🙁
