Jeremy and I just got back from Charleston and I am so excited to share some looks we shot with you! First up is this adorable pink & red sweater. If you haven’t been able to tell yet by my recent Instagram posts, I have been loving colorful, striped sweaters and cardigans. Paired with booties, these Spring-colored knits are the perfect, inexpensive transitional pieces for your closet. I layer them with a tank & a coat now, but these bright sweaters will work all the way through brisk Summer nights! This particular one runs true to size and I am wearing a size medium.
Since Jeremy and I live only a couple hours away from Charleston, it makes an easy getaway and we try to go as often as we can. While I love strolling the historic district south of Broad Street and admiring the gorgeous architecture, I also make sure to always pop over to my favorite local beach, Sullivan’s Island. This beach is the perfect compliment to the hustle and bustle of Charleston; you feel like you are miles from civilization. Plus, Poe’s and Obstinate Daughter are two restaurants worth the 15 minute drive.
You pass through Mt. Pleasant en route to Sullivan’s Island and time and time again I have admired the Caribbean restaurant, The Americano, right off the main strip. With a relaxing day at the beach on my mind, we have always driven right on by, but this time Jeremy and I carved out some time to stop by. Little did I know, it has unfortunately shut down some time in the past six months. It is currently up for sale and continues to be a hot spot for local photographers, so fingers crossed someone brings this gorgeous building back to its prime.
