Hey guys! So I justttt realized that this post has been sitting in my drafts and I had completely forgot to post it! Whoops! But I’ve mentioned before that one of the most commonly asked questions I get here is what to wear to a NASCAR race – especially when you’re spending the day in the pits. So I figured that today I could take you through race weekend with me and share some tips.

Talladega is certainly a unique experience. People go ALL OUT for this race and it’s honestly tough to distinguish the real race fans from college kids dressed up for the day. It’s GREAT. Plus, Talladega has a long road in the infield where people set up elaborate (and often times inappropriate) campgrounds – Talladega Boulevard – so we went there after the race to have a few drinks and enjoy the best people watching around.

As for what to wear for a NASCAR race, I struggle to death with this! Since I worked in the sport for six years, I want to dress casually and comfortably, but I also want to look nice as an extension of my husband. I always suggest wearing something flowy and light because you will be walking around on hot asphalt in direct sunlight. I typically wear cotton maxi dresses or loose shorts and a tank. If you do opt for heels, which I don’t recommend, make sure to choose a wedge or block heel because you will inevitably be walking a ton! 1. Oh man, something I never thought I’d see a blogger cover (insert monkey covering eyes emoji). I grew up & live about 15 minutes from Talladega and the racetrack & have been going to that race for many, many years. It’s equal parts embarrassing & hilarious! I definitely think a lot of the race fans could take some hints from you on how to dress though!

    xoxo, Jordyn
