Y’all – SheIn has been killing the game recently. One of my most-asked questions I get from readers is whether or not to trust overseas clothing stores like SheIn. The short answer – it really depends. SheIn has a lot of pluses and minuses. Pluses include AMAZING pricing; rarely anything on their site is over $25. But minuses include long shipping time, difficult returns, and sizing discrepancies. So to safe guard yourself from the hassel, I wanted to share how I shop SheIn.

First off, make sure you have seen someone in the piece you are considering purchasing (be it your friend, a blogger, or an “as seen on me” photo on the product page). This way you can ask about sizing/quality or physically see it on someone with a similar build. Likewise, READ THE REVIEWS. Do not buy anything from the site that has no user pictures or reviews. Luckily, when it comes to hangbags though, you’re in the clear. I own a few SheIn bags and all of them are great (like this tassel bag and this Chloe dupe).

Next, pay for the expedited shipping. You are getting a steal on cute, trendy clothing so don’t wait three weeks to get it in the mail. It will drive you nuts! Plus, make sure that the product has a black arrow next to it that says “priority dispatching” or who knows how long it will take to ship. Additionally, be willing to budget in a $10 alteration if need be. Take this dress for example, I DIED over it! But while the fit was perfect, it was a little long on me. I took it to alterations and got it hemmed for $10, making this dress $35 total – still an amazing deal! Scroll to the bottom of this post to shop SheIn pieces I am loving right now.
