TGIF, y’all! This week literally flew by! Is it just me? Going to Bristol for the race over the weekend and then taking Monday off for the eclipse has me playing catch up all week. Butttt since Jeremy’s race isn’t until Sunday this week, bless his heart if he isn’t going to shoot some fun fall looks with me today. Then we’re off to an escape room in Greenville tonight! Is anyone else addicted to escape rooms like we are? I love them!

But I wanted to pop on here and share this look because it is hands-down my favorite as of late. I am actually hoping temperatures cool down soon so I can wear this sweatshirt! I mean, how cute are the layering and off the shoulder details?! The best part is that it comes in three colors and I want all of them! I’m 5’4 and wearing a size small in it, btw. I paired it with this under $200 Tory Burch tote. It has been my go-to utility tote for hauling my computer around town or for traveling. It comes in so many cute color options, too! I hope y’all have a great weekend!

Instagram Stories are so important for bloggers, brands, and marketers alike. Not only do they let your followers get to know you better, they can actually improve your engagement. Say what? It’s true! Since your stories boost engagement, your Instagram posts have the chance to appear higher in people’s feeds! And we need all the help we can get with this ever since Instagram changed their algorithm.

I recently discussed the algorithm update at length and how it is hurting organic reach, but there is good news. While organic reach is DOWN across social media platforms, it is actually UP on Instagram Stories. So I wanted to chat with y’all about how to make your stories the BEST they can be so you can get more eyes on your Instagram posts and ultimately, your blog or website.

Before hopping into my five best practices, I wanted to share a bonus tip: time matters for Instagram Stories. If you want to get the most eyes on your stories, spread out your posts. Using audience insights (if you are a business profile), see what time of day your followers are most active and post your first story at that time. Then spread out your Instagram Story posts throughout the day to keep bumping it to the front of people’s feeds. It will increase viewership and engagement!

Alright, here we go…

Pink Hunter Boots + Ruffle Sleeve Dress

SHOP THE POST:

POST DETAILS:

Dress: Nordstrom | Tote: Tory Burch (Under $200) | Crossbody Bag: Chanel | Boots: Hunter ($60 off!) | Sunglasses: Quay (Only $50!) | Earrings: BaubleBar | Bangles: Kendra Scott c/o

Sooo much to chat about today, y’all! First of all, I apologize for not posting over the last couple days. My website has been moving in slow motion lately and driving me nuts! Luckily, the team at GoDaddy is looking into it right now and will help me optimize the site. This is probably long overdue anyways. But, onto the fashion…

First of all, you guys cannot miss out on these Hunter Boots right now. They are $60 off in the cutest colors, like these pink sand Hunters, which literally never happens. I may grab them in a couple more colors myself! Be sure to size down at least one size when purchasing Hunters. They run huge! I typically wear a size 8.5, but purchase mine in a size 7.

And can we talk about this adorable ruffle-sleeve dress?! I wore it yesterday to a Greenville Drive baseball game to watch the eclipse. They let us out on the field for the eclipse and it was so amazing when the whole city went black. But this dress was the perfect casual look! Just a pre-warning – for some reason, the product photo for this dress doesn’t display this actual dress. But what I have pictured is what you get 🙂 I am wearing a size small!
