Y’all – SheIn has been killing the game recently. One of my most-asked questions I get from readers is whether or not to trust overseas clothing stores like SheIn. The short answer – it really depends. SheIn has a lot of pluses and minuses. Pluses include AMAZING pricing; rarely anything on their site is over $25. But minuses include long shipping time, difficult returns, and sizing discrepancies. So to safe guard yourself from the hassel, I wanted to share how I shop SheIn.
First off, make sure you have seen someone in the piece you are considering purchasing (be it your friend, a blogger, or an “as seen on me” photo on the product page). This way you can ask about sizing/quality or physically see it on someone with a similar build. Likewise, READ THE REVIEWS. Do not buy anything from the site that has no user pictures or reviews. Luckily, when it comes to hangbags though, you’re in the clear. I own a few SheIn bags and all of them are great (like this tassel bag and this Chloe dupe).
I cannot tell y’all how long I have been on the hunt for an embroidered mesh overlay dress. I have a black tie optional event coming up and for some reason, this was the look I had in mind. I had originally happened across this dress from ASOS and this dress from Boohoo and while both are beautiful, I didn’t feel like they were the one. (So dramatic, right? It’s not like it’s my wedding dress)
Imagine my pure elation when I happened upon this dress while scrolling through Red Dress Boutique’s Instagram. And I about jumped for joy when I saw the price tag. This dress runs true to size. I am 5’4 and wearing a size small. It wound up being the perfect length as well with 4″ heels and thank goodness because I wouldn’t want the alterations to cut off any of the embroidery!
The fact that this Monday marks the first day of Spring makes it a little easier to bear, amiright? I wanted to kick off the season by sharing the cutest little $13 top I have been wearing nonstop. I dying because I just found out it comes in a dress version too! Definitely ordering that stat. I have honestly been going a little nuts on Spring fashion. I normally wait until the weather warms up to shop and by then, all my favorites have sold out. Case in point – these and these sandals. I’ll be shocked if either last much longer!
