Happy Sunday, y’all! I am so excited to share that I have finally launched my first beauty video on YouTube. I have been wanting to share my passion for makeup with you guys (in video format, that is) for quite some time, but have been in the process of getting all of the gear to make it a reality. Well, after rearranging the cloffice and bringing in some lighting, I had the balls to hit record.
I thought that it was fitting to kick off my beauty content by sharing my most-loved, everyday products with you guys. All of the products I used will be linked below the video. Just a quick FYI – I’m planning on recording a new beauty video every week that will include tutorials, product reviews, skincare, challenges, and more! If you enjoy the content, I hope you will subscribe and give it a like 🙂 Love you guys so much!
We’re starting with a splurge y’all, but rest assured I am sharing mostly products under $50 from here on out 🙂 I wanted to spotlight Lele Sadoughi headbands because I personally didn’t understand the hype until I took the plunge on one of these pretties. What sets LS’s headbands apart from all of the Amazon dupes is how unique all of their designs are. They’re literally starting the trends and everyone else is just playing catch up. My personal favorite is (obviously) the studded bubblegum pink headband, but they just released a pastel tie dyed version that has a bow! BRB, ordering it now!
SUGARFIX EARRINGS
We’re moving from a splurge to a major save! I clearly have a thing for heart-shaped earrings. I just love love! These earrings from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale first caught my eye, but I wanted something that was more wearable for every day life. And like magic I stumbled upon their more casual counterpart! The best part is that they’re only $12, so I was able to purchase a couple pairs 😉
COORDINATING JUMPSUITS
Ever since I began working from home – and honestly a bit before – I have gravitated toward coordinating jumpsuits to keep me comfortable, but still pulled together. While you know I like to dress up, casual basics are a much better investment for me because they’re what get the most wear. Plus, they work throughout all seasons! But of course, I need some pattern or color so I have recently purchased this leopard set, this pastel tie dye set, AND this heart-print set. S’cute!
DESIGNER SLIDES
Y’all know I’m not into overly trendy pieces, but when Gucci went and dropped PINK slides, ya girl had to fork over the $250 for them. And you guys… I have never looked back! Buyers remorse? Don’t know her. I honestly wear these almost every single day. My go-to Summer sandals – up until these – were the Tory Burch Miller Sandals. I’ve had them for years and they are such a wardrobe staple. But for only $50 more, I get all the comfort but with a punch of color. I can’t recommend them enough!
HOLY GRAIL HIGHLIGHTER
My highlighter collection is likely one of the largest in my makeup collection, but after purchasing Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfector in Ocean Glow, honestly nothing can compare. When it comes to highlight, we all have our particular preferences. For me, I love a wet, blinding highlight but without any glitter. TBH, thats pretty tricky to find! Well… we all know that Becca is known for shaping the game with Jaclyn Hill’s Champagne Pop. They had released a limited addition shade that is SO stunning and so frickin blinding, but I thought was SO sold out everywhere. Y’all! I found it in stock (with free shipping) and you bet your butt I’m stocking up.
GRAPHIC T-SHIRTS
This is easily one of my most-worn trends of Summer and will likely continue to be throughout Fall. My uniform is essentially a graphic t-shirt paired with a skirt (when I’m dressing up) or a pair of joggers (when I’m taking it easy). My biggest struggle, though, is to find band tees that feature artists that I love. Luckily, I just found this adorable Britney Spears tee at Target.
PERSONALIZEDCOLD CUPS
These adorable coffee cups are only $13 and I can’t tell y’all how much use I get out of them. I don’t know about you, but I drink iced coffee no matter the season. Snow on the ground? ICED COFFEE. These personalized cups make such a great present – I actually included them in my bridesmaids gift boxes – but sometimes you gotta treat yoself, amirite?
ACRYLIC LIPSTICK DISPLAY
I know I’m not alone in that if I can’t see it, I won’t wear it. That goes for bags, jewelry, and of course, makeup. So as my lipstick collection continues to grow, I figured it was time to start displaying these pretties! I searched high and low for the perfect stand (unfortunately most were meant for hidden away storage in drawers), but I found this one for only $18. The shipping was fast and the customer service was great, so much so that I went back and grabbed this lipgloss display, as well.
YSL LIP BALMSET
I made it out of the NSale for under $150, but the one product I didn’t plan on purchasing – the YSL Balm & Lip Care Duo – has become a can’t-live-without! And I will likely grab a backup before the sale is over. Thats how much I love it!
Let me preface my rant by saying that I not only have gnarly allergies, but I also have a deviated septum from breaking my nose (twice) when I was younger. To say I’m a mouth breather would be an understatement. Because of this, my lips are always chapped. I had always used a regular old chapstick – constantly – in an attempt to remedy the situation.
To be honest, I was initially attracted to the bougie packaging… yes, that’s a theme of this post. It’s tough to resist That gorgeous, weighted tube and the adorable lip and heart embossing on the product! And you get the cutest hot pink I LOVE YSL gift box, as well. But the product itself works so well! No more chapped lips, y’all! And if it couldn’t get any better, you get TWO – one neutral and one pink.
VSSUGARY SCENTS
If have chatted with y’all before about my LOVE for sweet-smelling fragrances… think Prada Candy, Philosophy Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere, and YSL Black Opium. The fresh, fruity, and floral scents of Spring and Summer are fun, but I am looking so forward to the warm, sugary, and musky scents of Fall. I actually noticed that Bath & Body Works has started stocking their classic Fall products!
Victoria’s Secret has followed suit by launching four sugary fragrance mists in the CUTEST packaging I’ve ever seen! So of course I had to head into my local store to sniff them out. Well, I’m here to tell y’all that Sugar High and Candy Baby are amazing! I have to get the lotions too. I wanted to love Cake Confetti because (duh) I love cake and I loved the glittery, sprinkle bottle, but unfortunately it just smells like alcohol.
Hey dolls! I am mixing it up on the blog today by sharing a try-on session with a brand that is new to me – PrettyLittleThing. Now I typically share these over on my Instagram Stories, but I loved these outfits so much that I wanted them to last more than 24 hours.
I have heard people rave about PLT for quite a while, so I was so excited to order a few looks and see what the hype was all about. What was most fun was that the pieces were so affordable, I was able to try some trends that I’d been curious about! So I hope y’all enjoy what I picked and let me know in the comments which outfit is your favorite!
This romper is quickly selling out on PLT and I can see why! Comfy rompers and jumpsuits have been so popular lately because of how easy they are, but I love this off-the-shoulder take on it. I haven’t seen it anywhere else!
I wanted to share a couple different ways to wear this romper because it is so versatile. I dressed it up with studded heels and gold jewelry and down with a ball cap and slides. This romper also comes in black, but if you love the white like me, I would suggest wearing flesh-colored undergarments with it. It isn’t see-through – it’s a sweat-type fabric – but just to be on the safe side!
SIZING DETAILS: This romper runs a little tight around the shoulders so I would suggest sizing up one size. I’m pictured wearing a size 8.
Of all the outfits I received from PLT, this dress is easily my favorite! I mean, c’mon, y’all know me by this point 😉 I’m heading to D.C. over the weekend to see my favorite podcast, How Did This Get Made, live and this is definitely a contender for what I’m going to wear! Not only are the pink colors beyond adorable together, this dress is super comfortable and stays on the shoulders securely.
SIZING DETAILS: This dress runs a bit short so I sized up to a size 8.
For this last look I wanted to share how I wore the top and shorts together AND separately because I get that this isn’t a look for everyone. I have seen the biker shorts trend for quite a while now, but thought that it was a little too trendy for my style. It seems like it’s more of a west coast thing than an east coast thing if you know what I mean. But I love a good pair of leggings in the Fall and Winter because COMF and biker shorts are basically just short leggings. Plus, these biker shorts are only $7 so I pulled the trigger. What do you think?! This particular pair comes in a whopping 11 colors, but of course I went with hot pink.
As for band tees, this is a trend I can easily get behind! I think these tops look so effortlessly chic with any outfit. But my problem has been finding t-shirts that feature artists I truly love so I can avoid looking like a major poser. So imagine my excitement to find that PLT has this oversized Britney Spears t-shirt in white and gray. The color is so much more vibrant than pictured on the website – which I personally LOVE – but I thought I’d mention it.
SIZING DETAILS: The t-shirt runs oversized so I sized down to a small. The biker shorts fit true to size and I’m wearing a size 6.
Thank you to PrettyLittleThing for sponsoring this post!
