Y’all, I am SO excited to share this dress with you! If you have been following along the past couple of weeks, I am the biggest new VICI fan. This website has the cutest pieces! I have already posted this look and this look, but this popsicle-print dress may be my favorite yet! Not only is the cut flattering… it has pockets! Holla! I also snagged this turquoise tassel necklace from them and get so many compliments on it, plus it comes in four color options.
On another note, I finally caved and purchased this dress in white from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. To be honest, I shopped online and in store and didn’t find much of anything that stood out to me. I guess I’m just not ready to trade out my bright colors for neutrals!
I am back from Indianapolis and am actually staying put here in Charlotte for over a week! One of my favorite parts of getting to work in NASCAR is spending my weekends at the racetrack and even though the temps were near 100 this weekend, Indy is always a fun city to visit. Jeremy and I spent our one night in town at St. Elmo Steakhouse… I just had to try their shrimp cocktail after hearing about it for years. We were all so dehydrated from working in the sun all day that we were feeling the alcohol after one drink and acting a little loopy. Be sure to follow me on Snapchat @CortDryden to follow along on all of these trips.
Not to rush into wedding planning or anything, but I have started researching local venues because the date we have in mind is within a year. I can’t believe how tricky it has been! Almost everything is sold out and everything that’s left are barns which doesn’t fit the style I have in mind (no offense to shabby chic lovers, but I’m from the ATL & can’t pull it off!) I will keep y’all updated on the process, though. Being an only child and only grandchild, I haven’t been to many weddings so this should be interesting!
I am getting a little more personal with y’all today and sharing my proposal story, pictures, and video. Jeremy and I had talked in the past about wanting to go skydiving and with our anniversary coming up on July 16th, it seemed like the perfect time. Well let me tell you, just saying you want to go skydiving and the reality of having it booked are two totally different things! I could barely eat on the days leading up to the trip (disclaimer: I only have one friend that has skydived before and he threw up) and was a bundle of nerves when we arrived to Skydive Carolina. Jeremy, of course, was as cool as a cucumber the whole day.
