Throughout the summer, I always reach for pieces in my closet that are flowy, comfortable, and effortless. There’s nothing worse than being out in the humidity in a tight garment! But when it comes to occassionwear, sometimes we have to forfeit comfort to fit the dress code. Well, thanks to Tangerine NYC, this is no longer an issue. They’ve basically created the perfect summer gown – silk, billowy, and in the prettiest patterns. I LOVE this one! The Karlie Silk Dress in Nouveau print is so statement making. Its definitely not for the wall flower!
Another perk of this dress is the cut of it. Say you’re not quite bikini ready yet? Well the Karlie Silk Dress was designed to cover all the areas you are insecure about so you won’t have to pull and tug on it throughout the day. It’s just such a staple and oh so chic!
Hey y’all! I hope you’ve been having a great first week of summer and are gearing up for the Fourth of July. Since it falls on a Tuesday this year, I hear a lot of people are getting an extra long weekend – no complaints about that! I personally don’t have any big plans yet. The holiday actually falls in between two beach trips for me. I got to Daytona yesterday for the NASCAR race. (Side note – I am wearing this dress to the race) We came a few days early to relax and enjoy the beach and we’ll get home on Saturday. Then, next Sunday I am heading to Myrtle Beach with my husband’s family.
But regardless of how we spend the holiday, I am definitely wearing this look! I have been on the hunt for a cute denim overall dress FOREVER. It was so dang elusive! They just always looked frumpy on me. Thank goodness I finally found the perfect one and it happens to be under $30. It does run a little big. I am usually a size medium in Forever 21 pieces and I’m wearing a size small in this (my waist is size 27, btw) I just love how easy it is to change the look up with different shirts and accessories. These slides would be SO perfect with this look! What are y’all’s plans for the Fourth of July?

I have had a lot of questions recently about what products I use to do my makeup, so I wanted to do a quick roundup of my favorite beauty products and why I love them so much. I am completely ride or die when it comes to brands and products and use a mix of high and low end. When I find something that works, I stick with it. If you scroll to the bottom of this post, the final photo is an unedited snap of my face featuring all of these products so you can see the finished product.
First of all, let me preface this with my skin details. I have relatively dry skin. I actually get patches of psoriasis on my forehead and in my eyebrows (girls who have psoriasis, I feel your pain!!) Ironically, I also get cystic acne every so often and I’m amazed at how both can exist in such close quarters. But cystic acne only comes as one bump at a time and doesn’t make my skin oily. So oily-skinned girls – these products may not work as well for you.
