I have officially jumped onto the mule bandwagon! I know, it took me long enough. But what it really took was the PERFECT pair of mules. You see, I am extremely particular about my heels. So many mules have a short, stacked heel and I am NOT about that life. This girl needs some height! I jumped at these pretties when I saw they were $44. But learn from my mistake – these only come in full sizes, so if you are in between sizes, order a size up. I had to order these twice before finding the perfect fit.
Jeremy and I were out yesterday running some last minute wedding errands and stopped to take a red velvet sno cone break, which is where we snapped a few photos. I have been a major procrastinator! With only two weeks left until the wedding, I hadn’t even bought Jeremy’s ring yet! Luckily, we ordered it today (fingers crossed it arrives on time) and rented some trees to decorate the reception venue. The more decor, the better has been my motto all along. On tap for today is getting music and signage squared away. I can’t believe it’s almost here!
I recently returned from Dallas where I attended my first RewardStyle Conference. Talk about inspirational, stressful, fun, and informative all rolled up into one! If you follow a number of bloggers, I’m sure you’ve seen the hashtag #rStheCon shoved in your face all weekend long. But a number of people had questions about what really goes on at these things (I know I did!), so I thought I would take you through the conference and share my takeaways and outfits.
I’d followed other bloggers through this weekend in the past, but nothing can prepare you for the whirlwind it actually is – let’s just say I haven’t worn heels or makeup since coming home or don’t intend to any time soon. It’s three days straight of classes, brand meetings, networking, and parties designed to whip your blogger butt into being the best it can be. While there were so many lessons, big and small, I learned, I wanted to share the overarching themes of the weekend.
I was going to hold off on posting this look from Day 2 of the RewardStyle Conference, but this gorgeous dress from Ace & Jig is BACK IN STOCK! It honestly may be my favorite piece in my closet. Not only are the colors so pretty, it is so easy to throw on and dress up or down. Apparently, folks have the same idea I do about it, because it is almost always out of stock 🙁 Luckily, there are a few left today AND even a few left of the skirt version of it. For size reference, I am wearing a small.
I paired it with the Chanel Grand Shopping Tote and y’all, this bag is show-stopping. I received so many compliments on it this weekend and had to confess to everyone that I didn’t pay nearly full price for it. Thanks to Trendlee, you can get luxury preowned handbags for a fraction of retail price. I was worried that this bag would look used, but it honestly was untouched. Trendlee is now my secret go-to for used designer bags! But if you are looking to get the designer look for WAY less, this $26 Chloe dupe would pair perfectly with this look.
