Well, we’ve officially reached that annoying time in the year where it’s sweater weather in the morning, but by midday you die from a heat stroke (lol). Luckily, the fashion forces have created a solution: the maxi romper. If anything screams transitional, it is this. I discussed my favorite fall trends earlier this week and can’t believe I missed this one! Especially because they are quickly becoming the most-worn pieces in my closet.
Not only did I recently wear this exact look to the racetrack to cheer on Jeremy in Darlington last weekend, I also packed it this weekend to visit Washington, D.C. Yep, while everyone is heading to NYC for fashion week, I’m over here like my bestie is turning 30 and I can’t miss that!
I snagged this particular romper in store the week before we left and thank goodness because I found out that I needed a size medium in it, as opposed to my usual small. So if you are a longer waisted like me, be sure to size up one. And if you love this trend as much as me, be sure to shop my other favorites below!
There is so much to be excited about in the coming months – ruffled, dramatic sleeves, peplum hems, cropped flares, pearl-embellishment – especially for those of us whose style err on the feminine side. Fall is set to be super girly and I, for one, couldn’t be more thrilled! So today I wanted to chat with y’all about my three favorite trends for fall and share my picks from each.
I combined all three trends into one look to show y’all how easy and wearable they all are. This Leith midi dress was so popular last year and they, thankfully, brought it back in this gorgeous blush color. I’m wearing a size XS in it. I snagged this embroidered jacket on a whim at H&M lately and haven’t stopped wearing it! It is only available online in plus sizes, but I linked tons of embroidered jackets below.
Happy Tuesday, friends! Does anyone else need a vacation from their vacation? We spent Friday and Saturday in Darlington for the NASCAR race (shop my raceday outfit HERE). Then, my parents spent Sunday and Monday with us and Jeremy’s family had another victory celebration for him at the lake. Phew! When my parents left today, I (no joke) took a four-hour nap. It felt AMAZING!
But it’s time to get back to the grind because it is a SUPER short work week for me. My best friend and MOH is turning 30, so I am driving up to Washington, D.C. on Thursday for the weekend to celebrate with a group of our friends. I am SO excited! Plus, the weather is really going to feel like Fall there, with highs in the low 70’s and lows in the mid 50’s. Yay for finally getting to wear some of my transitional looks without pouring sweat, like THESE perfect taupe booties.
If you have any suggestions of what we need to see, please leave them in the comments. I have been a couple times before, but have never been sight seeing and am looking forward to exploring.
