The new year is almost upon us and we can finally kick 2016 to the curb – it was a weird year, amiright?! As so often it is, my New Year’s Resolution is to be more organized. I am 100% right brained which is helpful in producing content for the blog, but awful when it comes to organizing it. So I created this fun blog planner to get all of our blogger butts in gear for 2017!
As I learned more about the business of blogging this year, I felt the need to expand upon last year’s blog planner. So I created quite a few free planner printables for y’all depending on what your unique needs are.
Is it just me or did this week just fly by?! I guess it’s just a product of how busy this season is. We went and saw the Christmas lights at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday and are heading to Atlanta tomorrow for my parents’ Christmas party. They have been watching Molly since before the cruise and I can’t wait to get her back! I miss her so much, but definitely needed this week to run around and do all of my holiday shopping.
I am really excited about a number of things coming up next week (other than the obvious!) Jeremy and I will be traveling to Asheville to see Candlelight Christmas Evenings at the Biltmore and are staying at the Omni Grove Park Inn. I have only driven through Asheville before, so if you have any suggestions please send them my way 🙂 I literally JUST unpacked my warm-weather clothes from the Caribbean and am repacking with cozy knits and am definitely bringing this chunky off-the-shoulder sweater from Chicwish. I just love how unique it is!
Of all the stresses of wedding planning, creating our Save the Date cards has been the least. For many parts of the planning process, I have been unsure what direction to go. Luckily, when it came to our Save the Date cards, I had exactly what I wanted in mind. Thanks to Minted and my photographer Alison, my dreams became a reality.
Snagging the cliff-side pic at Blowing Rock did require us to break a No Trespassing law, but I think it was worth it! Then I took the photo straight to Minted.com – picked a layout, uploaded the photo, added in my text and viola! My dream Save the Date cards in no time at all. They arrive quickly and with matching envelopes; plus you can even get addresses printed on the cards.
Time-saving tip for brides-to-be: Use Postable.com/address-book to collect guests’ addresses. It saved me a HUGE headache! Postable will generate a unique URL that you send to all of your friends and family. Then they fill in their name and address and it is put into an online address book for you. I literally spent 10 minutes on all of this and already have almost every guest’s info!
