Blush Sequin Bridesmaid Dress

POST DETAILS:

Dress: Piace Boutique c/o / Heels: Nordstrom / Bag: Chanel

Today is all about my brides and bridesmaids who know the struggle of finding the perfect dress without breaking the bank. With under four months until my wedding (ah!) I have been hit smack in the face with the reality that making all of your best friends happy is tough stuff. I wanted all of the girls to wear floor-length sequined/beaded blush gowns; each one different. As my bridesmaids shopped, I received every comment under the sun – some didn’t like blush, some weren’t totally clear on the color, some couldn’t find a beaded dress right for their body, and some thought all the dresses were outrageously priced. Let this be a cautionary tale to all brides considering this scenario… pick the dresses for them!

Now, it’s too late to dress all my girls in this blush gown from Piace Boutique – many have already purchased their own. But luckily, my beautiful maid of honor Kathleen will be wearing this stunner! The best part about it is that it’s under $70, a price tag you rarely see in the wedding planning process. Be sure to size up one in this dress, it runs a little tight around the waist 🙂

Happy Monday, y’all! I spent the weekend in Washington, D.C. visiting my best friend and checking out all the craziness going on around the city. My booty is whipped from the trip. We ventured out during the presidential inauguration and it was wild (and honestly a little scary). On our way to the National Mall, we passed the area where they were giving out free weed – I think it was a protest to legalize pot everywhere? Regardless, it was nuts to see literally THOUSANDS of people just smoking in the middle of the day out in public. They told us the goal was to all light up four minutes and 20 seconds into Trump’s speech (LOL).

From there, we came upon the riots. Cops were throwing tear gas bombs at protesters who were lighting trash cans on fire. We didn’t stay long as this area was a little chaotic. When the tear gas bombs went off it sounded like shots and folks would run out of the crowds grabbing their faces. At the public entrance to the inauguration, protesters had arranged sit-ins at the gate and were imploring officers to join them. I could go on and on about the trip but overall, being in D.C. this weekend was quite the unique experience to say the least.

Boots: Hunter (Color is Pink Sand) / Sweater Dress: Red Dress Boutique c/o (identical here) / Bag: Chanel

Hi guys! I accidentally took MLK Day off… It was my fiance’s birthday yesterday and we celebrated all weekend long. Maybe a little too hard for my Ideal Protein diet to withstand (my coach is gonna be so ashamed!!) But I am back with one of my favorite looks, mainly because it is so simple to achieve. Whenever anyone asks me how to look pulled together without all the time and effort, I always suggest a sweater dress and boots. I typically pair the dress with these boots, but wanted to take these pink pretties for a spin.

If you can’t tell lately, I am crushing hard on blush. It is just so soft and feminine throughout the winter and spring. I just received these blush tennis shoes and am obsessed. The gold and croc-embossed details are swoon worthy! I think I may love them even more than the rose gold version. I will definitely be swapping out these pink Hunter Boots for those tennis shoes when the sun is out.
