Instagram Stories are so important for bloggers, brands, and marketers alike. Not only do they let your followers get to know you better, they can actually improve your engagement. Say what? It’s true! Since your stories boost engagement, your Instagram posts have the chance to appear higher in people’s feeds! And we need all the help we can get with this ever since Instagram changed their algorithm.
I recently discussed the algorithm update at length and how it is hurting organic reach, but there is good news. While organic reach is DOWN across social media platforms, it is actually UP on Instagram Stories. So I wanted to chat with y’all about how to make your stories the BEST they can be so you can get more eyes on your Instagram posts and ultimately, your blog or website.
Before hopping into my five best practices, I wanted to share a bonus tip: time matters for Instagram Stories. If you want to get the most eyes on your stories, spread out your posts. Using audience insights (if you are a business profile), see what time of day your followers are most active and post your first story at that time. Then spread out your Instagram Story posts throughout the day to keep bumping it to the front of people’s feeds. It will increase viewership and engagement!
Sooo much to chat about today, y’all! First of all, I apologize for not posting over the last couple days. My website has been moving in slow motion lately and driving me nuts! Luckily, the team at GoDaddy is looking into it right now and will help me optimize the site. This is probably long overdue anyways. But, onto the fashion…
First of all, you guys cannot miss out on these Hunter Boots right now. They are $60 off in the cutest colors, like these pink sand Hunters, which literally never happens. I may grab them in a couple more colors myself! Be sure to size down at least one size when purchasing Hunters. They run huge! I typically wear a size 8.5, but purchase mine in a size 7.
And can we talk about this adorable ruffle-sleeve dress?! I wore it yesterday to a Greenville Drive baseball game to watch the eclipse. They let us out on the field for the eclipse and it was so amazing when the whole city went black. But this dress was the perfect casual look! Just a pre-warning – for some reason, the product photo for this dress doesn’t display this actual dress. But what I have pictured is what you get 🙂 I am wearing a size small!
This little floral dress was calling my name the minute I saw it online! You guys know my love of all things blush and gray and these muted tones are perfect for transitioning this dress to Fall. I am loving it now with mules and later with gray booties like these I picked up during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. It runs true to size and I’m wearing a small petite.
This dress is unfortunately not included in LOFT’s HUGE 50-60% off sale, but I had to share it because it has been super popular and will sell out. But no fear, I have rounded up all of my picks from the sale HERE. Be sure to use code SURPRISE.
I am so excited to finally share these Kendra Scott bangles! They just launched their new Fall collection and don’t quote me, but these may be Kendra’s best pieces yet! This set features four separate bracelets and each are a different design, but go so beautifully together. I have worn them every day since receiving them and they have quickly become my daily stack.
