I am wearing my navy blue proudly today. Last night was the end to an unbelievable football season for my Auburn Tigers. We went from not making a bowl game last season, to making the grandaddy of them all this season and I am so proud of my alma mater. But, alas, the college football season is over and it’s now time to focus on the impending NASCAR season. Only 47 days until the Daytona 500!
I’m always scouring the depths of the interwebs to share some lesser-known brands with you and today I’m excited to tell y’all about Santa Fe Apparel. They’re high quality reasonably-priced jackets in every popular style that you could imagine. That leopard print ASOS coat that has been sold out forever… they have a similar options here and here. A textured plaid jacket… here is a good option. A black faux fur… that too. And the best part of buying a coat in January? The prices have dropped!
… As is everything in my closet these days. I can’t get enough of red recently. It started with my nails, moved to my lips, and now it’s in every accessory I buy! Move over orchid, maraschino is my pantone color of 2014.
I mentioned in an earlier post about my disproportionate figure (short legs & long torso). It’s why you can catch me in maxis allll summer long. It’s also why I wear heels in even innappropriate situations… the grocery store, the gym, checking the mail (that’s neither here nor there). But why have I been neglecting the midi? The high waist actually gives me a waist and gives the illusion of longer legs. Win-win!
I’m loving this midi from The Girl That Loves’ winter collection; it could go from the office to happy hour without missing a beat. And I need more closet multi-taskers because my New Year’s resolution is to stop looking like crap at work. What’s yours?
I’m excited to let y’all know about my new guilty pleasure, Ador. If Pinterest was my gateway drug, I am full-on addicted to Ador. It’s an online shoppable fashion magazine where you control the content by picking your favorite celebrities, bloggers, and brands. When I see a look I love, I can shop the exact pieces, as well as similar ones selected by Ador’s fashion editors. Coveting that pair of Valentino stilettos that you would have to sell your first born to own? Ador gives you options in your budget.
My favorite feature is Ador’s price alerts. I’d been looking at the above tulle skirt from Urban Outfitters and ‘adored’ it on the site. They let me know the other day when it fell in price and voila! It’s mine now.
And I don’t know what it is about this skirt, but during shooting all I wanted to do was to spin around in circles or hail a cab in Manhattan 😉
