Happy Friday! The weather can’t seem to make up its mind here in North Carolina! It was in the 70s last week and down to freezing this week. This look is perfect for in-between seasons… a light sweater, skirt, and jean jacket. I had been on the hunt for a navy floral skirt to pair this striped sweater with and found it at Forever 21. Unfortunately, it has sold out in this color but I found a similar style I LOVE even more here. I already have this print in dress version and am obsessed! Check out that look here.
First of all, I wanted to thank y’all for all of the sweet messages you sent yesterday. I honestly can’t describe how much they meant to me and my mom. I read her every single one and she about cried (happy tears). She received the phone call from her doctor last night that the cancer is growing, but that it isn’t anywhere else in her body yet. She has decided to move forward with a mastectomy to be on the safe side and they surgery should be in the next couple of weeks. I honestly feel that everyone’s prayers helped yesterday. While this situation isn’t ideal, she will be fine and I am so grateful for that 🙂
I wanted to let y’all know that today is the LAST day of this amazing sale at ShopBop! I shared some picks with you the other day, but wanted to show you how I styled my ShopBop favorites below. Happy shopping!
Hey guys! Today I wanted to get a little more personal. When scrolling through social media and blogs, you see everyone’s highlight reels and not their daily struggles. While I am not an advocate for airing dirty laundry online, I did want to share something with y’all in hopes of having a few more prayers. 10 years ago, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. We got beyond lucky to find out that it was encapsulated and after a lumpectomy and some radiation, she was clear. Unfortunately, we found out last week that she once again has breast cancer. This time, it is a bit larger and has less defined borders… the doctor likened it to a broccoli spear. She goes in for her MRI today, so I just ask that if you get a minute, please send a little prayer. I know I am not alone in my struggle and that SO many people are affected by cancer. I know that I am blessed beyond measure to have two parents that have overcome cancer before. But know that I am praying for you as well. Thank you guys and I will update you with what they find.
