Hey guys! Long time no talk. Jeremy and I just got back from a 10-day trip to Seattle and Alaska and I have SO much to chat with y’all about! Expect an Alaskan cruise review, what to pack for an Alaskan trip, and more. But I thought I would kick off all the content with an outfit round-up from the Seattle portion of our vacay and included the added bonus (at the bottom of this post) of a travel vlog in which Jeremy and I try every drink in Seattle!
Hi, guys! I am BACK with another video and this time it’s a highly requested cloffice tour. I arrange and rearrange this space on the reg and while I have shared a couple roundups here, I haven’t ever filmed a video of the space so y’all can get a better idea of the layout.
A little backstory… I watched one episode of Marie Kondo and have subsequently been reorganizing every room in the house since. The cloffice was my latest target… more specifically, my bookshelf. I’m a bag whore and wanted a nicer way to display the things I loved – not that I don’t love my books – but most had to go to the attic to make way for more storage. Wall space is limited up here, y’all!
But I recorded this little video where I share its new look, my designer bag collection, and my whole makeup collection. I hope y’all enjoy!

Hi, loves! It’s ya girl’s birthday today and I am living my best life in the most adorable two-piece set and a donut cake, of course! If there’s one day I can be extra without judgment, today is that day!
While I got a little serious last year for my annual birthday post, I thought that I’d mix things up this year and share some personal, random, and even embarrassing things that y’all might not know about me. I honestly think some of these things will even surprise my friends! So I hope y’all enjoy this and are having a wonderful Easter weekend 🙂
I brought a Playboy magazine to school in third grade & got suspended: I also got suspended in fifth grade for kicking a classmate and again in high school for falling asleep in Calculus.
I was bullied in high school: I actually changed high schools – out of my district – because the bullying got so bad. I left at the beginning of my junior year and LOVED high school once I swapped. I plan to chat more about this in the future…
Matthew McConaughey asked me to pick the dip out of his teeth: I was a Marshall cheerleader in the movie We Are Marshall and before a take, Matthew McConaughey turned to me, spit his dip out, and asked me to pick the pieces left out of his teeth. I politely declined.
I’ve been skydiving TWICE: I love anything that gets my adrenaline rushing. Jeremy actually proposed after our first jump. You can watch the video HERE.
I have a tattoo: I have a K tattooed on my ankle for my best friend from high school who passed away tragically on her way to spend the month with me – we were planning to be camp counselors for the Summer. I love my tattoo, but it was so painful that I never got another one again.
I have had my tongue pierced TWICE: Embarrassing confession… I was SO rebellious in high school that at 14 – before I’d even had my first kiss – I got my tongue pierced. I did it again (for some reason) at 18 because my friend was scared to get her nose pierced. I only had it pierced each time for less than two weeks.
I’ve taken someone to court for a restraining order: I don’t want to elaborate (because she’s liable to harass us again even though we’ve been married for two years) but basically my husband’s ex lived out every fantasy anyone has ever had of doing to an ex.
I have driven a truck my whole life: My first car was a 1989 Chevy Silverado and I currently drive a Toyota Tacoma.
I have psoriasis: I have had it since I was born, so I won’t cry about it like Kim K, but ya… it sucks. Luckily, mine is mostly concentrated to my scalp – which is why I always wear tape-in extensions – but when I was growing up, patches of it covered my torso and it looked like perpetual chicken pox.
I’m extremely into politics: I won’t tell y’all which way I lean, but I am almost always listening to talk radio or watching news stations.
I share a birthday with a ton of weird, tragic stuff: April 20th is not only the 20th anniversary of the Columbine school shooting, but it’s also Hitler’s birthday. There’s more, too! Google “the Cusp of Power”.
I had never flown until I was 15: And my first flight was to Italy.
I’m an only child and only grandchild: I have no cousins… weird! Thank goodness I married into a large family!
I was a smoker: Ew! This is BEYOND EMBARRASSING but I smoked from high school up until 4-5 years ago.
My birthday is 4/20, but I literally CANNOT with pot: Tried it, can’t hang (lol) But whenever people check my ID & see the date, they just giggle.
I have the musical tastes of a middle aged man: If you go through my iTunes catalog, you’ll find the full discography of Michael Jackson, Garth Brooks, and Jimmy Buffet… and that’s about it.
I have broken my nose TWICE: Once attempting a back flip into a pool and missing the pool and another time trying to jump off something and slipping, landing on my face. I have a deviated septum now and only breathe out of one nostril.
I was a music video girl for an American Idol contestant: I will never share who it is because SO EMBARRASSING, but yep.
I never played with dolls or Barbies growing up: I grew up in a neighborhood of all boys so I always wanted to fit in with what they were into. I also never played house or had much interest in cartoons or Disney movies. But I LOVED arts and crafts! Fashion and beauty are actually passions I developed much later in life.
I cry over everything: Sad about something? I’ll cry. Happy about something? I’ll cry. The first rift of Garth Brooks’ The Dance? Of course I’ll cry! I am extremely sensitive but besides crying, I am horrible at expressing my feelings.
I started blogging six years ago: I feel like one of the OGs now that sooo many people are blogging, but when I began it was an anomaly and so uncomfortable to post my outfits on Instagram!I
I always felt out of place growing up in Atlanta: I grew up ITP (inside the perimeter) Atlanta and always knew it wasn’t where I belonged. I had always loved NASCAR, county music, camping and fishing and my peers were more into drugs, jam bands, and loitering in parking lots. Once I moved to Alabama for school, I felt so at home and have since living in Cornelius and now Spartanburg.
I’ve slept walked twice: I was visiting a friend in New York City and fell asleep in her bed and woke up on the couch. I chalked it up to having too much to drink and not remembering where I fell sleep the night before, until we realized that every cabinet in the kitchen was open.
Anxiety consumed my life for a year: I go in depth about it HERE, but I developed panic disorder at the beginning of 2018 and worked to overcome it throughout the year.
I get caught by the cops for EVERYTHING: I have been pulled over TWICE for having my seatbelt on “improperly” (i.e. under my arm instead of over) and even got an “MIP Alcohol by Consumption” in high school, not because they saw the alcohol, but because it was in my belly. I have also received a ticket for going 30mph in a 25mph zone. And y’all, that is just the tip of the iceberg!
I sleep with a stuffed animal: I had one (named Baby) since I was born and while on Spring Break in Panama City, the cleaning staff assumed it was trash and threw it out. I went to the front desk (SO DRUNK) begging for them to dig through the trash to find it. Suffice it to say, I had to find a new one.
I have huge feet for my height: I am only 5’4 and I wear a size 8.5… sometimes a 9. Whhhyyyyyyyy????!!!!
I did web design as a side gig for years: During my first job in NASCAR, my boss had me set aside time each week to learn web design so that I could redesign their site and maintain it. Thank goodness for this because it ignited a passion in me that led to blogging. I had a side business called Design Accelerated where I would built websites for NASCAR drivers, teams, and sponsors. I still do occasionally when I have spare time!
I was NOT cut out for a sorority: I rushed at Auburn because I didn’t know a sole. And while I met my two best friends through the sorority, I don’t handle authority well and wound up dropping at the end of my sophomore year. If you’re curious, I was a ZTA!
Blogging is a dream job and I can’t believe its what I get to do for a living: I love y’all! Thank you for stopping by here because getting to know y’all is the joy of my life!
