Hi, loves! Before y’all groan over another Valentine’s Day post, hear me out – I know y’all have a love/hate relationship with this holiday but TBH, it’s just a good excuse to wear all the adorable red and pink pieces, raid the chocolate aisle on February 15th, and watch Nicholas Sparks movies. Valentine’s Day, for me, almost always falls on Speedweeks at Daytona International Speedway, so Jeremy and I rarely get to celebrate! So I won’t bore you with all of the romance and instead share some recent purchases 😉
While I’m a pink girl through and through, I have found myself buying a ton of red lately. I have been in such a Winter rut and February is such a funky month to shop for. I am over all the neutral sweater looks and ready for some color, but how Spring-y can I go when it’s still freezing out? Enter this bold hue. It pairs perfectly with pink now and gingham as it begins to warm up.
Which leads me to this outfit… This bow-sleeve blouse is just TOO darling! I am a sucker for bows and sleeve details so be still be heart. The skirt is new, too. J.Crew Factory put a spin on their classic sidewalk skirt by adding a scallop hem. It comes in four colors, but be sure to size down – I’m a size 27 in pants/skirts and wearing a size 0. And last but not least are these red mules. They also come in four colors and are so dang comfy that I want them all. Be sure to size up one half size because they run a tad small. (more…)
I think I can speak for most of us when I say I am SO over Winter. Bring on Spring! Luckily Jeremy and I skipped town for a couple weeks for somewhere warm and it was so refreshing to live in swimsuits and coverups instead of layers. Since I’ve returned, a ton of retailers have begun dropping their latest resortwear and I wanted to round up what I wore in the Caribbean and my favorite latest pieces.
I will chat all about our cruise in an upcoming post, but if you’re curious today we went on a 10-day trip on the Norwegian Dawn – departing from Puerto Rico and going to St. Thomas, Antigua, Martinique, Barbados, St. Lucia, and St. Kitts. The ship was the smallest we’ve ever been on and was only half full (I think people were weary of flying into Puerto Rico), but Jeremy and I were all about the itinerary. Since the ship departed from PR, we were able to go much further south than if we cruised from the continental U.S. I can’t wait to share more if you are visiting any of these islands soon, but for now – let’s chat fashion!
We’ve already had snow in the south, but Winter has just begun. And since we’ve been in the midst of a cold front, I have been stocking up on cozy coats. As I was scouring the internet, I was pleasantly surprised to find a ton of adorable options at surprisingly low prices. So I rounded up the best of the bunch and am sharing my reviews on them below. If you’re looking for a coat of any style – puffer, bomber, faux fur, teddy, etc. – be sure to keep reading 🙂
