THE Dress of Summer

Dress: Urban Outfitters | Sandals: DSW | Bangles: Etsy | Earrings: Lisi Lerch

Hi boos! I hope your week is going well 🙂 Per my last post, I am packing for our bi-annual trip to Daytona Beach for the NASCAR race. Priority one is obviously cheering on Jeremy, but I love going because we get to stay in the most adorable retro pink motel that y’all have seen countless times here on the blog. I recently received an order in from Urban Outfitters and was pleasantly surprised by how feminine and well-fitting the dresses were! UO is typically a bit too trendy for me – I gravitate more toward classic pieces – but I fell in love with these and want to share with y’all today a few that I have packed for our beach trip!

Let’s start with my hands-down FAVORITE – this adorable fruit-print mini dress. From the silhouette to the print to the puff sleeves, it is serious perfection! I ordered my typical size and it fits like a glove and stays secure across the chest. The only thing I would advise is that if you have a large bust, you might want to skip on this because I am part of the itty bitty titty committee and its definitely snug. I have seen this pretty alllll over Instagram, so I would say if you love it, to grab it QUICK because things tend to sell out fast.

If you are shopping around their site, I did want to make you aware of a couple of other dresses I snagged because they are so stinkin’ cute! The first of which is this off-the-shoulder colorful plaid dress and the other is this yellow tiered mini. Both come highly recommended!

Random aside but have y’all heard all the hype around Joe Rogan’s interview with Bob Lazar about his documentary on Netflix? My cousin sent me the link yesterday and while I was getting some work done, I played the whole two-hour interview and now I feel like my brain is about to explode. I began watching the documentary as well, but it seemed a little too out there for my liking. Regardless though, the podcast is a must listen!

What’s In My Amazon Cart: Summer Travel

SHOP THE POST:

Hi, loves! I never sit still for long and with a ton of upcoming travel planned, I have taken to Amazon to prepare. First up for us is Daytona Beach for the Fourth of July and we’re busy making plans for Charleston and Myrtle Beach later in the Summer. So today I wanted to share what’s in my Amazon cart and what I have already pulled the trigger on.

Let’s start with the items I already own… these Valentino dupe sandals, specifically. They come in 13 colors, are less than $20, and I am beyond impressed with the quality. My only suggestion is to size up one half size because they do run a little small.

Packing cubes are another MUST for me because my suitcase basically becomes a crazy mess explosion the minute I open it. I picked up these flamingo-print packing cubes and now keep swimwear, PJs, dirty clothes, shoes, etc all separate and organized on vacay.

As for what’s in my cart, I have heard so many fabulous reviews about this cosmetics case that I think it’s time to make it mine. As my makeup collection grows, I find it harder and harder to leave behind favorite products when I travel so your girl needs more space for alllll the goods!

Let me know in the comments below if you’ve purchased any must-haves from Amazon lately.

Tank: H&M (Only $13!)| Boyfriend Jeans: H&M (Under $40) | Bag: Marc Jacobs (On Sale!) | Hat: Nordstrom | Sandals: DSW | Earrings: Lisi Lerch c/o | Necklace: Julie Vos | Bangles: Etsy

While I LOVE my colorful pieces (obviously), sometimes I need an everyday casual look featuring pieces I can mix and match with everything in my closet. Well, I threw all of those items on, headed out the door, and wanted to break down all the details with you today.

Let’s first chat about these sandals. For under $60 (with code MAKINGMOVES), these are an amazing dupe for the Valentino heels. They come in two colors, run TTS, and are surprisingly comfortable! I highly recommend these. My most recent additions to my everyday lineup are this $13 breezy tank and these $40 distressed boyfriend jeans. I have personally never worn this style because I felt that boyfriend jeans were unflattering on my figure, but I fell in love with these! Make sure to purchase your regular size.

Finally, I have to let y’all know that this adorable Marc Jacobs tote has been restocked after selling out TWICE. Plus, it’s 10% off! It pairs perfectly with this sweet straw hat. These photos are a tad overexposed, but the hat is actually a beautiful blush color.

SHOPBOP SALE DETAILS:

Now on to the ShopBop Sale. I sound like I’m beating a dead horse, but I genuinely mean it when I say that I ALWAYS take advantage of these sales to splurge on designer pieces that I wouldn’t pay full price for.
