Hey y’all! I am mixing it up today and sharing a peek inside of my suitcase. DENA Designs sent over this AMAZING palm-leaf print carry on and their timing couldn’t have been any better. I am leaving on Thursday to head to Charleston with a couple of my blogging besties, Kelssey of and Sara of You guys may already know about my love of the city (if not check out my bachelorette weekend HERE or how to spend 72 hours in Charleston HERE), but Kelssey and Sara have never been before! So I am so excited for them to realize that THE HYPE IS REAL.

While my clothing and accessories vary each trip, there are some things I always pack on a weekend trip. Namely, a quality, roomy tote and my ride-or-die toiletries. I gotta preface this by saying: this is not sponsored. These are products I genuinely use and love.

First up are my hair products. I’m not faithful to any shampoo or conditioner, rather I swap them out every time one runs out and feel like that practice keeps my hair feeling extra soft (yep, I learned this from Lauren Conrad lol). But I ALWAYS use L’Oreal’s Lustrous Oil Serum on my wet hair after showering. I have tried quite a few products and am shocked at how silky this makes my hair feel – which is saying something because I have bleached hair and extensions right now!

From there, I detangle with the Aqua Brush. I honestly threw out my Wet Brush after trying this. For under $8, it is MUCH higher quality than the Wet Brush is. It detangles without breaking my hair and I find far less hair in the brush than with comparable brushes. After blow drying and styling (I use a Conair blow dryer and T3 curling wand), I spray in Dry Bar’s Triple Sec. It’s a texturizer and dry shampoo rolled into one, but honestly I would buy this scent in a perfume. Depending on the last time I got highlights, I will also spritz some Root Touchup to tone down the Shakira roots I get.

As for skincare, I use L’Oreal’s Revitalift Wet Cleansing Towelettes to remove my makeup. I follow up with Tula’s Purifying Face Cleanser to wash my face. It cleanses my face without leaving it dry and tight like regular acne washes. I have a travel size I keep in my train case and a full size I keep in the shower. But a little goes a surprisingly long way! Finally, I put on Tula’s Hydrating Day and Night Cream. This routine keeps my skin super soft and prevents the cystic acne I get once a month.

Since we’ll be doing a lot of walking (heck yes, we’re going on a ghost tour!), I made sure to bring my comfiest shoes: these Athena Alexander blush mules. I also snagged these $29 sandals from Target. We have a cocktail party Saturday night and I can’t wait to finally wear this one-shoulder jacquard dress from TopShop. I’ve had it hanging in my closet for a while begging to be worn and I just saw it’s marked down $100 to $42! And to keep from getting burned at the beach, I always bring a straw hat. This one has been my favorite for years!
