There are under five months to go until our wedding and I am finally buckling down on many of the details. We have secured a venue, officiant, caterer, and dress but I was ready to get all jacked up as they say! This meant stopping by David’s Bridal and taking part in their Meet the Stylist program. I spent Monday afternoon at the Asheville David’s Bridal and let my stylist Shawnte find me the perfect accessories so I can feel my best on our big day!

Shawnte was such a pleasure to meet and made me feel comfortable and confident right away. I showed her a picture of my dress and explained what look I was hoping to achieve and what accessories I needed. She then started from the ground up – undergarments. Shawnte strapped me in to a waist shaper and slip and no kidding, every dress fit like a glove after that! She grabbed me a few dresses to play around in and we got started.

First up were belts. My wedding will feature a vintage blush vibe so Shawnte picked out an assortment of bridal belts to match. The rhinestone options were to die – I tried on almost every size and style and loved them all! But I a total Carrie Bradshaw moment in this blush tulle flower belt… swoon!

We then moved on to veils. I honestly thought you just stuck the veil into your hair and off you go, but Shawnte suggested a vintage rhinestone headband. What a game changer! It elevated the whole look. There were tons of gorgeous options for veils from beaded to floral and I found the perfect combo to compliment my dress.

The last couple of details to wrap up were discussing how to bustle my gown so I could dance with ease after the ceremony. And finally, how to preserve my gown post-wedding. David’s Bridal has an amazing cleaning and preservation kit for a steal. I left David’s Bridal feeling more ready for this wedding than ever before and can’t rave enough about the stylists!
