I have never been more excited to see FriYAY! This has been a really tough week so I can’t wait to sip wine and veg out on the couch with NetFlix tonight. But first, I had to share five things I am obsessing over this week. I finally found the best at-home tanning regime, checked out the most hilarious movie, and rounded up a motivational summer reading list and flattering one-piece swimsuits. Read on for more!
At-Home Mystic & Versa
As I get older (less than two years until 30 ahhh), I have sworn off fake baking in the tanning bed in favor of spray tans. My local salon had an amazing spray tan sale throughout the winter, but now the prices have bumped up and forced me to seek more affordable alternative. Enter At-Home Mystic and VersaSpa. I received the whole line, tried out each and every one of them, and am officially in love.
My favorite method for staying bronzed year-round is to use the VersaSpa Bronzing Mist with the application mitt. I apply it to my whole body every three days and to my face every night before I go to sleep since it tends to fade faster on my face. VersaSpa has a more bronze/less orange tone to it than the Mystic Tan Bronzer Spray, but they’re both pretty fabulous. You just need someone to help you with your back 😉
Music & Movies
So much amazing entertainment came out this week that I highly recommend checking out if you haven’t already. First of all, potentially my new favorite movie Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping came out last weekend and being the HUGE Lonely Island fan that I am, I was there opening night to see it (duh). It exceeded my expectations y’all! It’s a mockumentary about Andy Sanberg’s Justin Beiber-esque character and his rise and fall in the music industry AND it is packed with celebrity cameos. My favorite scenes are Will Arnett and company spoofing Harvey Levin and TMZ. I read there are tons of deleted ad-lib scenes that will be included in the DVD. I can’t wait. The hilarious trailer is below:
Last night, Jeremy and I went to see the Conjuring 2. Definitely scary. If you liked the first one, this one is almost identical only with a British family. I am a scary movie buff and this director also directed the Saw franchise.
Lastly, if you are a country fan you need to download Maren Morris’ debut album Hero. She is the badass behind My Church and 80’s Mercedes and is beyond talented. Morris has a songwriting credit on every song on the album and every last song is fabulous!
The Dress of my Dreams
Why whyyyy did I have to stumble across this dress?! It is unfortunately out of my price range ($238) but it is basically the adorable tasseled dress of my dreams. If you love it as much as I do, you can shop it here. For now, I’ll just let it continue to haunt my dreams 😉
If you loved Girlboss, I have rounded up some motivational books below. Self-help type books are my jam! They always seem to light a fire under my butt to get out there and do things (work out, ask for a promotion, start a new business, etc). My all-time fav is The Defining Decade… It is about what is important in your 20’s and how to make the most of them. Let me know y’all’s suggestions for more in the comments. I am always on the hunt for a new book!
I have been on the hunt for cute one-piece swimsuits ever since falling in love with this Mara Hoffman suit. Her brand is a little pricey, but I just received this $35 Boohoo pineapple one-piece and it fits amazing (I sized up)! I may like it best! Shop these swimsuits and more that are in my shopping cart below.
