February has been a roller coaster! For a short month, we sure got a lot out of it. Jeremy and I have been all over the Southeast. We took a quick trip to Charleston at the beginning on the month, then spent a week in Daytona for the start of the NASCAR season, then went to Atlanta to visit my family to round out the month. Y’all may have caught me chatting about it on Instagram recently, but I am finally trying my hand at Lightroom after using Photoshop for years. I purchased the USA pack of these presets and this is my first blog post using them! If you guys have a favorite preset, let me know in the comments. I am having so much fun experimenting.

As the temperature starts to increase and the seasons begin to change, I have been doing quite a bit of shopping. Throughout February, I have found some Spring staples and I wanted to share my favorites with you from fashion to beauty. And keep scrolling to see what y’all’s most-purchased products were this month!

My Favorites

New Foundation: I have been a long-time user of Chanel’s CC Cream and have sworn by it. But thanks to recent stress, I have spots of psoriasis forming on my forehead and I have been craving a little more coverage. I heard a TON of mixed reviews on NARS’ Radiant Longwear Foundation, but found a color that matched my skin tone perfectly and had to give it a shot. Y’all, I love it! But, I can see why some folks don’t. This foundation is a medium coverage, which is exactly what I was looking for. Props to girls who can wear full-coverage, but I feel so heavy and cakey in it! NARS’ Radiant Longwear Foundation looks like a second skin on me and makes my skin look so flawless! It’s what I’m wearing in these photos! The only drawback is that after six-ish hours or so, it begins to get oily. Since my skin is so dry, I don’t mind a bit of luminosity, but this might be one to steer clear of if your skin is naturally oily.

Perfect Espadrilles for Spring: One of the best parts of staying in Atlanta, other than spending time with my parents of course, is that there are TWO Nordstroms within five miles of me. I popped over to Perimeter Mall and fell in love with these Treasure & Bond espadrilles. The cognac color matches my skin when I have a tan, which really elongates my legs. They’re beyond comfortable and run true to size. The best part, though, is that they’re under $80!

Glowy Skincare: As 30 begins to creep up on me (two more months of my twenties, y’all!) I have finally settled into a skincare routine and have seen amazing results so far. To preempt this, I have extremely dry skin so I am always on the hunt for ultra hydrating, skin-plumping products. When it comes to cleansing my skin, I have been using Dermalogica’s PreCleanse Oil followed by their Daily Microfoliant. Since I have such dry skin, the combo of the oil and the microfoliant helps slough off the dead skin. For moisturizer, I have been alternating between Loccitane’s Immortelle Divine Youth Oil and Clinique’s Moisture Surge Intense Hydrator. This routine is making such a difference in the appearance of my skin and even reduces the severity of my psoriasis!

Go-With-EVERYTHING Crossbody: The ever-so-popular Clare V. Maison is back this year and cuter than ever! It has been shrunk down to a petite-sized crossbody version and it seriously matches everything in my Spring wardrobe. Jeremy purchase this for me for Valentine’s Day and thank goodness he already snagged it, because this style sells out every year. If you need a bit more room in your tote, shop the regular size of this straw bag here.

Holy Grail Self-Tanner: I have tried a ton of self tanners over the years from high end to low end and have finally found a ride-or-die tanner. St. Moriz Dark Tanning Foam is only $13 and you can pick it up in Ulta. It honestly works better and looks more natural than Loving Tan and St. Tropez and is at least half the cost! It’s what I have on in these photos. I apply it with an application mitt and leave it on as long as I can, either throughout the day or overnight. The longer you leave it on, the deeper the tan is. When I rinse it off, I don’t use soap – I do just a quick body rinse. My biggest tips are to hold off on using Dove soap and moisturize as often as possible to extend the length of the tan.

Netflix & Chill: If y’all are looking for something interesting to watch on Netflix, I stumbled across the documentary The Push, the other day and it was FASCINATING. It is a two-hour special all about social compliancy or how we have been taught to behave like others around us and blend in to the best of our ability. The show revolves around a huge experiment on whether people would follow authority to such an extend that they would actually kill someone. The ending is shocking and has me rethinking social situations!

    • Thank you love! I use either Hawaii Breaky or Naples Ice Cream and then fiddle with them to get the look I want 🙂
