The NASCAR season ended recently and Jeremy and I decided to take a mini vacation to Beaufort, SC to unwind. We are such big fans of Charleston and Savannah, but had never visited this gem in between. It has a similar feel to its neighboring cities – historic colonial homes, a waterfront park, and famous lowcountry cuisine – but with a small-town vibe.
Visiting the coast in November was such a pleasant surprise! The crowds had thinned, but the weather was still mild enough to enjoy activities on the water. We packed our days full with the best the city had to offer and our only complaint was that we wished we had more time there. And while the views, food, and accommodations were second-to-none, the hospitality of the town’s residents was what struck me most about Beaufort.
I road-tripped to the mountains last weekend and wore this comfy outfit. We hopped out of the car and shot a few pictures of it to share with y’all because this is exactly what I wear regardless of whether I’m traveling by car or plane. Comfiness and warmth are MUSTS when I travel and this monogram pullover fit the bill. I ordered it in medium for an oversized look.
This monogrammed tote makes the perfect travel bag! It is so roomy and easily fits my travel essentials like these marble headphones, this marble cellphone charger, and Emily Ley’s new book Grace not Perfection (did I mention I am avid self-help book reader?!) I throw a hat in their for the driver/flight home because I am always looking a little extra rough after a trip and you can’t just throw your hair in a ponytail with extensions.
Happy Monday y’all! I just got back from a whirlwind trip to Charleston, South Carolina and had to share (RAVE) about it. I have been to Charleston a few times in the past, but in just three short days, I feel like we got to see so much more of it than I ever had before. And while I am no expert, I had to share my suggestions of how to visit Charleston in only 72 hours. An alternative title to this could be how to gain ten pounds in Charleston in 72 hours!
