We survived the snow storm! And I wound up actually enjoying it! We headed to South Carolina Thursday night before the storm hit and stocked up on groceries at Wal-Mart. By the time we got there (I kid you not) all water, bread, and meat were basically sold out. Thank goodness there was wine left! We woke up Friday to about four inches of snow, that turned to six inches overnight. The roads weren’t horrible though and we were able to run a few errands and celebrate a birthday party. Plus, the puppies love running around in the snow 🙂
Hey guys! Winter is here… yippee! And lucky me, I’m one of the people terrified of it. My totally irrational fear spawned a few years back. You see, I take two-lane roads almost entirely to work each day before the sun rises. It was a pretty cold morning following a bit of rain the night before. I started to call someone to ask what black ice looks like (I’ve never claimed to be anything other than blonde), but deduced for myself that *duh* you can’t see it. It was about this time that I hit a patch of it and did donuts through the grass, totally re-landscaping someone’s front yard. I was safe, thank goodness, but since then, I won’t drive in snow or ice.
Hey y’all! You’ve about made it through Monday… that deserves a big glass of wine! Oh wait, it’s a holiday. Well, holidays call for wine too! I started to drive to the bank at lunch before my (non-blonde) boyfriend let me know they were closed. Oops!
