Happy Monday, y’all! I hope you guys had a great weekend. I am hitting the ground running today (thanks to all the coffee) because this is a BUSY week. NASCAR is in town, which means that there are a ton of events going on leading up to the race. Jeremy will be co-hosting The Rise Guys on 93.3 tomorrow morning for those of you who live in upstate South Carolina, then repelling off the Embassy Suites in Charlotte on Wednesday for charity, and racing the Roval on Saturday. So the two of us will be bouncing around from state to state and trying to shoot a couple campaigns in between all the activities. Phew!

At least we woke up to some milder weather today, so we won’t be baking in the heat while marking our to-do list off. It was so pleasant to have a high of 72 today! Pleasant enough, in fact, that I wore a sweatshirt to run some errands. Target was stop one, of course, and while grabbing some groceries, I picked up this adorable Fall t-shirt and these furry slippers. Both are so darling and under $20 🙂 I also restocked my pumpkin spice Special K cereal – y’all, I know it is beyond basic, but it is delicious!

Now, on to this outfit… I have gone a little (a lot) crazy at Madewell recently. Their sweaters are such high quality and have gorgeous color combos! I’m wearing a size medium in the one featured here and love the length for pairing with skirts or high-waisted jeans. I did purchase this Madewell button-up denim skirt, as well, but was pleasantly surprised to find a nearly identical version at H&M for under $25! It comes in a ton of colors, but I can’t get enough of the olive and cognac for Fall.

Sweater: Red Dress Boutique c/o (Comes in 3 colors) | Denim: Free People | Mules: Nordstrom | Earrings: Sugarfix | Bag: Louis Vuitton

Y’all – the rain here in the South Carolina has finally subsided and I was so excited to wake up to bright, sunny skies. I’m in the upstate, so luckily we missed the brunt of it but I have been sending prayers and good vibes to North Carolina all weekend. We had a blogger trip scheduled to the Blue Ridge Mountains that was postponed because of Florence, but I’ll be heading south to Atlanta instead to shoot the looks I had planned and can’t wait to share them with you over the next week!

Speaking of favorite Fall pieces… I’ve posted this look on Instagram already, but I felt like it needed a dedicated blog post because this under $50 sweater is too cute! Since it’s a little oversized, I went with a size small and since ordering it, Red Dress Boutique has released it in three colors – gray, burgundy, and tan plus a similar version in yellow and rust.

And y’all, I know it’s 90 degrees in the Carolinas, but I just saw that Scarowinds begins this weekend! My FAVORITE holiday is Halloween so I am beyond ready to visit haunted houses. Jeremy and I have visited Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios over the last few years and are already making plans for a packed October! Do y’all love haunted houses or hate them? Let me know in the comments!

Trending for Fall: Colorful Stripes

SHOP THE POST:

No Sunday scaries here, y’all! There’s no time like the weekend to share my hands-down FAVORITE trend for Fall – colorful stripes! Now for me this isn’t really a trend, it’s honestly a way of life at this point. I’ve mentioned before that I am actively working to add color into my Fall wardrobe and am pleasantly surprised that I won’t have to try that hard thanks to virtually every retailer featuring this trend.

While stripes have always been a Fall staple, what I’ve been loving recently is how the trend is steering towards rainbow stripes. The print is such a fun way to play up your more basic looks and really stand out. I suggest pairing this eye-catching print with white or classic denim to tone it down, or with a corduroy mini skirt for a more retro look.

If you’ve been following along, you have seen me sharing a ton of these pieces already, but I re-linked all the outfit details below for easy shopping! And you’re sure to see much more of colorful stripes coming to my feed soon 🙂
