9 Basics on MAJOR Post-Christmas Sale

SHOP THE POST:

Happy New Year, dolls! I took the last week off so I apologize for being MIA. Now that we’re married, Jeremy and I have quite a few places throughout the Southeast to be for the holidays and while there is more family to love, it gets a little tricky to juggle. But regardless, I hope y’all had such a wonderful Christmas!

If you’re like me, your Christmas money is burning a hole in your pocket. Luckily, these sales won’t quit. But I want to totally encourage y’all to use these steep discounts to invest in basics that will last you year after year. So I rounded up some of my every day favorites as well as some items I scored!

Zella High Waist Midi Leggings: Only $26 | Available in all sizes

Let’s start with my favorite recent purchase and one of the cheapest on the list. I have always worn leggings from Old Navy, but unfortunately they just don’t hold up for that long. After hearing all the hype about Zella leggings, I pulled the trigger and spent $60 on a pair. THEN… I saw that Z by Zella leggings were available for over half off that price so I decided to compare the two. Honestly y’all, I prefer the cheaper version! Yippee! The length hits at the exact right spot for my 5’4 frame and they really suck everything in but with a ton of stretch and comfort. I ordered the small and they fit great.

J.Crew Factory Vail Parka: Over 50% off

I have had my eye on this gorgeous coat for years and finally scooped it up about a month ago after trying it on in stores and realizing how beautiful it is on. For a large Winter coat that really keeps me warm, it is surprisingly flattering. For size reference, I wear a size US4 in it.

Tory Burch Miller Sandals: 40% off

I already own these sandals in tan and black (which I purchased for full price *rolls eyes*) so I  can’t justify purchasing another pair, but one of the number one questions I receive is where to get Tory Burch Miller Sandals on sale. They very rarely drop the price on these super popular sandals but when they do, it’s usually on a not-so-wearable color. Luckily, the neutral tortoise print is now 40% off making this the perfect time to invest!

Sam Edelman Caprice Knee-Hight Boots: 33% off

Along with what seemed like every blogger, I purchased these gorgeous boots during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and wore them throughout the Fall and into the Winter. The light tan color was exactly what my closet was missing. Now they are marked down even more so if you missed out on them during the Sale, it’s the perfect time to pull the trigger.

Frost-Free Puffer Jacket: Under $30

Throughout the Winter, I gravitate toward bold, red hues. But girlfriend has gotta stay warm too! So I took full opportunity of these sales to score this gorgeous red puffer jacket for only $27. The run a tad bit large and I purchased the size small.

Striped Layering T-Shirt: Only $7.60

I honestly own multiple of these shirts in stripes, white, black, etc. They wash well and hold up for years which is crazy for the price of less than eight bucks. These are the t-shirts you see everyone layering under vests and sweaters because the tunic length pairs so well. These do run oversized, though, so be sure to size down. I wear a size small.

Blank NYC Suede Moto Jacket: 40% off

The perfect piece to elevate any of your Fall and Winter looks, you honestly need this chic (GENUINE SUEDE) jacket. The tan is my favorite, but the gray version is GORG too!

Ugg Daelynn Boots: 35% off

No one can call Uggs ugly now that they launched adorable versions that are topped with a bow. I, personally, always wear my classic tall Ugg Boots rolled over exposing the shearling liner inside. These achieve that same look and more AND are 35% off. These are selling out fast though! I originally had my eye on the shorter, under $100 version but unfortunately they are gone so I would scoop these up while you still can.

Goodnight Macaroon Over-the-Knee Boots: 30% off

I talk about these boots ALL. THE. TIME. And that’s honestly because they’re THAT GOOD. They stay up great without being too tight and the low heel makes them comfortable for all day wear. Be sure to size up one full size. I am a size 8.5 and the 40 fits great.

Trina Turk Holiday Looks

OUTFIT DETAILS:

Sweater: Trina Turk c/o | Skirt: Trina Turk c/o | Heels: Sam Edelman | Earrings: Lisi Lerch c/o

I popped over to Trina Turk the other day to select an outfit for New Year’s Eve. I was a kid in a candy shop with all of the selection! The colors and prints were seriously stunning and it didn’t hurt that they offered us a glass of champagne to sip on while we browsed. So I wanted to share everything that I tried on and you can check my Instagram post for what I took home with me.

I pulled a ton of looks to try and I bet you can sense a trend… bright colors and loud prints! If you can’t go big around the holidays, when can you?! The Trina Turk boutique is worth checking out if only to admire the interior design. It’s aesthetic matches the brand’s designs and is a color lover’s dream space.

Houndstooth Sweater | Metallic Skirt

I LOVED this combo! Unfortunately, they didn’t have my size in the skirt or this would have been the winner. I am a 27 and wear a size 4 in Trina Turk bottoms for size reference.

Plaid Dress

The cut and the fit of the Spumante Dress are so flattering! And y’all know that I love a good ruffle hem 🙂 All I would do to jazz this look up a bit is add a belt and.a leopard clutch and I’d be good to go for any holiday party.

Sequin Mini Dress

This sequined mini is SO fun! It does run large so be sure to size down. I’m wearing a size 0 here.

Let me know in the comments which look is your favorite!

With Christmas less than two weeks away, it is about time to start thinking about New Year’s Eve. Crazy, right?! And while we typically have a more low key party with family and friends, I still like to jazz up my look with sequins. Lucky for me and my fellow color lovers, the bright stripe trend has carried over into the holiday season and there are so many gorgeous options out there for every price point. I went with this sequined mini dress because the pattern is perfect and the bows on the shoulder are the most adorable cherry on top! The $49 price tag makes it basically irresistible! But no matter what your budget is, I have rounded up New Year’s Eve looks at every price point and you can scroll through to shop them all.
