I am a sucker for a theme so when I saw these adorable coversation heart balloons by Studio DIY, I knew I had to recreate them. And what an easy project! Simply stick 2″ red vinyl letters on to heart-shaped balloons. The best part is, you can customize the messages. What I couldn’t recreate were the still winds :/
With one warm day amidst two winter storms, it had been a while since my legs had seen the sun. I have been on a tanning bed hiatus recently, so Kismet Opulent Body Bronzing Lotion to the rescue! It’s like makeup for your body. You smooth it on and it dries quickly without rubbing off on your clothes and leaves a shimmery bronze finish. Then you wash it off at the end of the night. The best part is that it doesn’t have that icky tanning lotion smell; it actually smells like coconut and lime. Yum!
Unfortunately the nice weather didn’t last. Time to bunker down. Stay warm!
It’s Friday! And this Friday in particular means one week and counting until Valentine’s Day. As a proponent of all things girly, this holiday is right up my alley. I’ve even stocked up on some lovey-dovey apparel like this Kiss sweater and this Sincerely Jules ‘Say Yes to Love’ tee (are y’all getting sick yet?) I also plan to hit up Hobby Lobby next weekend to score some majorly discounted pink and red home decor. Anyone else do this every year? 😉
If you’ve been looking for the perfect red pout to last through your V-Day date, Stila Beso is it. Exfoliate your lips prior to application with a soft-bristle toothbrush and then carefully apply the liquid lipstick. It’ll make it through dinner, a kiss, a tub of icecream with the girls, whatever your plans are! Seriously, you can only get this stuff off with makeup remover.
As a Southerner, here’s how I like my snow: on the weekend, not too chilly, and when I don’t have to drive anywhere. Last weekend for Kevin’s big 3-0, we rented a cabin in the North Carolina mountains. Luckily for us, it snowed all day Saturday and was absolutely stunning. Looking through these pictures makes me want to go back!
We apparently brought the snow back south with us when we came and it is another situation entirely when I have to drive in it (i.e. I won’t). I chickened out and had a coworker drive me to and from work Wednesday. My folks live in Atlanta and when the city turned into a scene from The Walking Dead, the only way for my dad to get home was to take Marta. Unfortunately, the closest stop to our house is four miles away, so he had to hike it in the snow! Even so, he got home sooner than most.
Here’s to warmer weather and hoping that groundhog is wrong!
