So I hopped on the crazy train and braved Target today to score some highly anticipated and amazingly priced 3.1 Phillip Lim handbags. I don’t know about you, but I can’t justify purchasing a $900 bag, no matter how bad I want it. So when I found out that his bags were on sale for between $35 and $55, there was no stopping me.
I (naively) figured since I lived in North Carolina, I would be immune to the crowds of L.A. and New York. As it turned out, much of the merchandise had been wiped clean from the shelves by noon with the Kannapolis Target reporting lines forming before the store opened… in Kannapolis, really?! All online merchandise had been sold out since 4AM.
Perhaps because of the high male to female ratio, leave it to the Mooresville Target to have the two bags I wanted: the mini and the medium (see above).
I consider myself lucky after reading this article. Folks reported feeling like “career tributes in the Hunger Games” fighting off shoppers for the bags! For a good laugh, watch the video of the Hollywood Target. I’m surprised no one got hurt.
Below are all of the bags from the collection and you can view the whole collection here.
After weeks of anxiety and indecision, I am proud to say I have purchased my first vehicle! Moreover, I am just elated that the whole car buying experience is behind me. It was miserable. Truth be told, I am one of those people who makes it a lot harder than it has to be. But after countless trips to countless dealerships, I was finally able to get exactly what I wanted: a 2013 Toyota Tacoma. Folks who know me well know that my first vehicle was a 1989 Chevy Silverado lovingly named Ron Burgandy, so it wasn’t a stretch for me to return to my roots. Just wanted to post a few pictures of it because I have never been so in love with a vehicle before!
On the fashion tip, I just scored these tan booties from Marshall’s. We’re venturing into that weird time of the season where it’s not quite appropriate to wear sandals anymore, but you’re not ready to retire your summer dresses just yet. Throw on a pair of tan booties and a denim jacket and problem solved!
Last weekend, I met my Aunt and Grandpa at Daveste Vineyards in Troutman, N.C. and had such a lovely time that I wanted to bring Kevin back this weekend. Well, I was running late (after purchasing this new clutch from Nordstrom) and when we made the turn down the vineyard’s gravel road, we were met with a wedding.
We parked and snuck out to the furthest rows of vines to snap some pics but on our way out we had to dive back into the rows to avoid the Bride and Groom taking their own photographs! I hope we were covert enough to go unnoticed!
Regardless, my hopes of sampling the local wine while relaxing in rocking chairs were dashed. Hopefully next time we visit, we can enjoy the scenery instead of wedding crashing!
