My Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Purchases

SHOP THE POST:

Happy Monday, loves! The past week has been a real whirlwind and with all the technical difficulties that Nordstrom has had, plus the fact that I have been traveling, I am a little behind getting y’all a comprehensive roundup of everything that I bought. Luckily, Public Access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is only FOUR days a way, so I’m hoping that this will help you prepare!

When it comes to how you’re going to tackle Public Access, I would highly recommend ordering online. I tried ordering online for in-store pickup and my entire order was cancelled. And even on the first day of Early Access, the store had been picked through and Nordstrom Sale Members said that they won’t be receiving restocks, only returned purchases will be sent back to the sales floor. So to be sure you’re getting exactly what you want, shopping online is your best bet! A few of my items arrived recently, so read on for my favorite picks.

CASLON LONG-SLEEVE TEE | Sale Price: $19.90 | After Sale: $29.00 | Runs TTS, wearing a size medium

This under $20 will be a wardrobe workhorse for me throughout Fall and Winter. Nordstrom releases this tee in a ton of colors every Anniversary Sale. In years past, I have scooped up a white and a black and white striped, but I was pleasantly surprised that it came in a colorful stripe this year. I can’t wait to pair this tee with every skirt, vest, and jacket in my closet!

SOCIALITE LACE ROMPER | Sale Price: $56.90 | After Sale: $85.00 | Runs small, wearing a size medium

Calling all brides-to-be! This lace romper is for YOU. It looks and feels so expensive and is the best combination of classy and sassy. Keep in mind that it runs a little short. I am 5’4 and could have worn a size large for some extra length.

TOPSHOP COLORBLOCK SWEATER | Sale Price: $44.90 | After Sale: $60.00 | Runs TTS, wearing a size medium
TOPSHOP CORD MINI SKIRT | Sale Price: $39.90 | After Sale: $60.00 | Runs TTS, wearing a US6

Hands down, my favorite outfit of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. This sweater is ADORABLE and the length in perfect for pairing with skirts.

J.CREW RUFFLE SLEEVE TEE | Sale Price: $32.90 | After Sale: $49.50 | Runs TTS, wearing a size medium

J.Crew released this top in white in the Spring and I wore it all season long, so I was beyond excited to see that they included it in black and white stripe. The material is thicker and more substantial that your regular t-shirt, so it feels so expensive and really holds up wear after wear. It comes in three color options, but the black and white will go with everything from leopard to buffalo check.

B.P. CARDIGAN | Sale Price: $31.90 | After Sale: $49.00 | Runs TTS, wearing a size small

If there is one piece in this sale that you will undoubtedly wear all Fall long, it’s this $31 cardigan. It comes in a ton of colors, but cognac is always my favorite Fall shade.

WAFT CAMI | Sale Price: $38.90 | After Sale: $59.00 | Runs TTS, wearing a size small
LEITH TIE FRONT SKORT | Sale Price: $43.90 | After Sale: $65.00 | Runs TTS, wearing a size medium

Thanks to the NSale, I was able to get out of my comfort zone and try some trends I wouldn’t otherwise have because of how inexpensive the pieces are. Case in point, this outfit. I found that my closet was really lacking skorts – I mean, they’re so practical! I paired it now with this adorable tank (that comes in three colors), but once Fall rolls around, a cute, cropped sweater will go perfectly!

HALOGEN DRESS | Sale Price: $72.90 | After Sale: $109.00 | Runs large, wearing a size XS

If you work in a professional environment, this darling dress is perfect for you! I am such a sucker for a big bow, I just love how feminine and bold it is against the turquoise, floral dress. It does run quite large. I may have even been able to wear an XXS, but it was a little tight in the shoulders.

BLANKNYC SUEDE SKIRT | Sale Price: $64.90 | After Sale: $98.00 | Wearing a size 27

Another staple of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, this genuine suede skirt is always a best-seller. This year, it comes in taupe and gray and it was such a tough call between the two!

Best of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018

Y’all. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is HERE! All the hype has built up to this and I, for one, am blown away by the selection. If you have a Nordstrom debit or credit card, today is the first day of Early Access and I would encourage you to get your shopping done now because by the time the public sale begins, many items are already sold out!

There are two strategies to play here and you guys can probably easily guess that I played the latter. Since this sale is all about Fall fashion, think long and hard about the pieces your closet is missing. Is it a cozy cardigan, a pair of neutral booties, or a classic pair of designer denim? Then shop the sale strategically to ensure you have filled these closet gaps.

Now, for me, I take MAJOR advantage of Nordstrom’s free shipping and returns policy. Basically, I go HAM while pieces are in stock, try them on in the comfort of my own home, and then return the things I don’t need. This ensures that I don’t miss out on the crazy popular pieces and wind up regretting it later. Yenno, nothing haunts us like the things we didn’t buy 😉 Plus, if you don’t have a Nordstrom close by for returns, did you know that you can return Nordstrom items to a Nordstrom Rack? Win win!

I rounded up all of my favorites above and below. Just click on the item to shop it! And be sure to follow me on Instagram because I will be sharing how all of these pieces fit over there.

Summer Travel Style with Lucky Brand

POST DETAILS:

Denim Jacket: Lucky Brand Jeans c/o (Wearing a size small) | White Skinnies: Lucky Brand Jeans c/o (Run TTS) | Top: Mud Pie c/o | Bag: I Love Jewelry c/o | Suitcase: Delsey c/o | Necklace: Julie Vos | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Hat: Brixton

This post is in collaboration with Macy’s.

We are FINALLY set to head on the first of our beach trips this Summer and I, for one, am SO ready. I’m so excited in fact, that I can look past Jeremy blaring the AC the whole car ride to Florida. When it comes to Summer travel, I have learned the hard way to layer up in comfy denim. Planes, trains, and automobiles tend to be on the chillier side when the weather warms up, so I look to Lucky Brand’s denim to look pulled together, but feel comfortable on trips.

Lucky Brand’s Lolita Crops and the Trucker Tomboy Denim Jacket are my wardrobe workhorses. Both run true to size and I mix and match them with everything in my closet. Plus they’re made out of soft, stretchy cotton so they don’t cut into you – a necessity for me! And I love that Lucky Brand carries a cropped skinny denim because it is so hard to find jeans that don’t need hemming to fit my 5’4 frame.

While this look is my personal favorite, Lucky Brand has so many casual and comfy looks for all your Summer travels. Be sure to shop them all HERE. #MacysLucky #macysloveAffiliate
