TGIF! Another week has come and passed and I haven’t done a dang thing for the wedding. I did, however, take a two-hour nap yesterday from the anxiety of it all so there’s that! (lol) I have always been a proponent of waiting to live together until you’re married, but as the reality of all that entails fast approaches, I almost wish we already lived together! Far less logistics to work out.
I don’t want y’all to think I’m a big Debbie Downer about the wedding-planning process, but I also don’t want to portray that everything is easy and without hiccups; especially because everything always looks so glamorous on social media. I am beyond excited about being married to Jeremy, it’s the wedding that gives me the jitters. On top of that, I have a few trips I am taking in the weeks leading up to it, so ya, everything is a bit overwhelming and I guess it caught up to me yesterday.
I am excited, though, to share these two adorable dresses from the new boutique BuddyLove. It’s tough to be in a bad mood when you’re wearing cactus print, amiright?! I honestly don’t know which one I love more! That sentiment can be expressed for the entire line of BuddyLove clothes, as well. Y’all have to check them out 🙂
Wedding season is in full swing and I already hear the collective groan from women unsure as to what to wear. I totally get it! Nothing is worse than the dreaded black tie optional – WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? You want to look your best, but not be too flashy. Feel confident, but not too sexy. Steer clear from white, but not look like you’re going to a funeral. The stipulations can get overwhelming!
To be on the safe side, I always opt for never-fail florals or lace. They’re just so flirty and feminine, so you can feel your prettiest without distracting from the bride. Luckily, this fun dress covers a wide array of wedding attires, depending on how you accessorize it. Plus, this gold belt has been my go-to for adding some extra oomph to a plain gown. I linked all of my favorite wedding dresses below, as well, so be sure to scroll to the bottom to shop!
Y’all may have noticed, per my Instagram feed, that there is a new silhouette of dress that I am loving: the one-shoulder ruffle. I have always loved a good swing dress – trapeze, a-line, etc., anything that is super flowy that I can comfortably eat an enormous meal in 😉 Bonus points if it has pockets like this one does!
When I saw this dress, I just thought that it screamed Spring. I tend to order a size down in trapeze dresses and did so in this one. I am wearing a size 4. I can’t wait to break this pretty out for Easter!
