So real talk – I completely overlooked Nordstrom Anniversary Sale beauty section. I had my sights set on the pieces that go the fastest so it took me a week to really delve into the beauty products and damn, I’ve been missing out. I’m not just saying this – they are seriously the best they’ve ever been… especially if you’re wanting to try a brand or two out for the first time. So I wanted to round up some tried and true favorites of mine in case you were wanting to try something new or stock up on some much loved OGs.
Click on the image above to shop & read on for why I love these products!
Charlotte Tilbury The Pretty Pink Lipstick Set ($60): Charlotte Tilbury’s products are a bit of a splurge, but for good reason – they are that good. On the daily, I use the Lip Cheat pencil in Pillow Talk to overline my lips and follow up with either a CT K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick or a liquid lip. Her lipsticks last hours without transferring and are $34 on their own, so to get two beautiful shades plus the lip liner in Pillow Talk is a steal!
MAC Nordy Girl Matte Face & Eye Set ($44.50): This is one of my favorite purchases of the Nordstrom Sale. I have collected eyeshadow palettes upon palettes looking for one that had every shade I needed for a complete look. I have FINALLY found it in this palette – and it’s a nice little bonus that you also receive a full size mascara and self-sharpening eyeliner. The colors blend beautifully from one shade to another and the highlight is the perfect soft gold that doesn’t bring out your skin’s texture. I seriously can’t rave enough about this product!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz & Brow Gel ($28): After trying a ton of brow pencils, I swear by Anastasia’s Brow Wiz. The thin-tipped, self-sharpening pencil makes filling in your brows a breeze and the soft spoolie helps create a natural look. If you were to purchase the pencil alone, it would cost you $22, so for only $6 more you get the brow gel too!
Smashbox Pack Me Primer Trio ($35): This set is such a perfect introduction into one of America’s most popular primers.
Charlotte Tilbury Pretty Glowing Skin Palette ($75): I own and use Charlotte Tilbury’s $68 Filmstar Bronze & Glow Palette every day, which features a contour and a highlight. For only $7 more, you will get another highlight, a setting powder and two blushes! Yippee! I think this is the perfect introduction into Charlotte Tilbury cosmetics and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed. I struggle finding the perfect contour and this shade is is. It is a natural shadow tone that goes on smooth with a bit of soft shimmer.
Charlotte Tilbury The Gift of Glowing Skin Set ($75): These products are new to me, but I am an instant addict! The Wonder Glow Primer gives you such a beautiful glow from within and the Magic Cream is the thickest face cream I have tried without breaking out. I know that it will be a must-wear come Winter time when my dry skin really gets out of hand.
Clinique Moisture Surge 72-Hour Set ($99): You may wonder why I featured two moisturizers… well, I actually have both and use one at night and one during the day. Clinique’s Moisture Surge is the first moisturizer I have tried where I automatically see a difference in my skin. I put this on first thing in the morning, let it sit while I do my hair and brush my teeth, and then apply makeup over it. This product is a favorite of mine I know you will love it too!
BECCA Prep, Set, Glow Set ($35): I was pleasantly surprised to see that BECCA created a kit for the Anniversary Sale featuring my three FAVORITE products, their Hydra-Mist Set and Refresh Powder, the super popular Opal highlight, and their First Light Priming Filter. If you follow any beauty vloggers, then you have heard the hype over this powder is REAL. It feels wet when you are applying it – the sensation is so weird and great at the same time! I just love how it locks my makeup in place without looking cakey. I can’t rave enough about the Opal highlight, either. It is a blinding highlight and a little goes a longggg way. And finally, if you have dry skin or some redness, I would highly recommend BECCA’s First Light Priming Filter. The soft purple color neutralizes any discoloration to your skin for a soft, natural finish and the prickly pear extract is beyond hydrating. This set really offers you the best band for your buck of all of them!
Trifold Dimmable LED Lighted Mirror ($58.90): How did I ever do my makeup before this mirror?! In an effort to organize our bathroom, I brought all of my makeup into my cloffice and set up a little vanity so I can stay out of Jeremy’s hair. I ordered this mirror because I needed something that lit up and wanted it gold to match the decor. This mirror did not disappoint! It is trifold with two sides of regular magnification and one with 2X and 3X which is perfect for brow maintenance. It comes with a USB plug, but you can also use batteries if it’s not near an outlet. Plus is folds up compactly for travel! And it comes in rose gold.
Urban Decay Naked2 Basics Set ($49): Another set that features my favorite products from the brand! This time it is two can’t-live-without it products: Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Primer Potion and their All Nighter Setting Spray. My makeup would be a runny mess without them! The setting spray has been an OG for years and I finally tried the Eyeshadow Primer Potion a couple months ago and everything you’ve heard about it is true. I apply it all over my eye, pat it in with my finger and then set it with powder before applying shadows and they go on so smoothly, blend so easily and last all day! I love that UD also included a Naked Basics Palette. I have the Petite Heat, but the one included is even better! The shades are so natural and it’s every neutral you need all in one.
COOLA Suncare Home & Away Two Pack ($38): This sunscreen is a definite splurge, but hear me out. If you are like me and hate the smell of sunscreen, this is your solution. It smells sooo good that it is a pleasure to apply it. The applicator allows the spray to go on nice and evenly, its waterproof, and it’s the perfect SPF for protecting my skin. And it’s a nice plus that the packaging is adorable! So yes, it’s a little bougie but totally worth it.
