Many of you heard me chat on my Instagram Stories about how excited I was to try out these blue reflect glasses from Coastal. For years now, I would get headaches after a long day hunched over my computer and cell phone. Initially, I thought it was my posture causing the pain. But the more I read about it, the more I realized that the headaches were the product of HEV. This high-energy visible (HEV) artificial blue light emitted by digital device and fluorescent lighting is known today to have a negative impact on the retinal cells and can cause headaches, dry eyes, blurred vision and eyestrain.
This blue light can also impede your body’s natural production of melatonin, making it more difficult to get to sleep at night; hence why iPhones now have the option to change the light to yellow when you’re getting ready for bed.
I loved the styles Coastal offered, so I took the plunge and ordered this pair (in the color Havana) to test out my theory. I wanted to wear them for a couple weeks to make sure I could give you an honest and comprehensive review. Well, the verdict is in! They really do help with headaches and eye strain. So much so that I was able to cut out my habit of popping a couple Advil at 4p.m. every day.
Happy Monday, loves! I hope y’all had a great weekend. Mine was a relaxing one filled with football, NASCAR, and strolling the streets of Greenville. I love popping over there – the restaurants and shopping are so amazing! I needed a few days to recharge after a packed week. Jeremy and I both had appearances in Charlotte and were up and down the road. I’ll be sharing more about that later this week, but since it’s Monday, there’s nothing like posting one of my all-time favorite tops to kick this week off on the right foot! I mean pearls, florals, AND a bow on this contrast-collared button-down blouse. Does it get any better?!
I scooped this pretty up from Zara. If you haven’t scrolled through there site lately, it is so worth it to. You’ll either love me or hate me as you buy ALL. THE. THINGS. I am about to pull the trigger on this pearl collar and these pearl studded jeans… I’m sensing a trend here! I couldn’t be more excited that one of fall’s biggest trends is super feminine pieces. This a-line mini skirt is the perfect pair to all of your feminine tops. I purchased it last year and am happy to see that they have brought it back this season in three colors. It runs TTS and is a thick, substantial fabric – perfect for the chilly temps I hope come soon!
It’s in the mid-80s today, but I woke up craving fall weather. And it got ready to plan some fall trips! I’m thinking a fall foliage road trip… Maybe Asheville or Blowing Rock with some pit stops at the apple orchards and pumpkin patches? That, of course, got me online shopping for some new fall outfits. It is seriously the most fun time of year to dress for! There’s just something about cuddling up in layers when there is a chill in the air.
But before I drop too much dough, I wanted to round up what I already had in my closet and share with y’all how you can repurpose many looks from last year! So I selected ten of my favorite outfits that are still available in stores and shared them below 🙂
