Bridal Shower Invitations

Invitations: Basic Invite c/o / Bag: Chanel / Sunglasses: Karen Walker

I can’t believe we are in the final stretch of wedding planning now! If I think about it as a whole, it’s entirely too stressful. So I try to keep in mind the major things that we have accomplished. We booked the honeymoon this month, a cruise through the Mediterranean. Jeremy has never been to Europe before so I can’t wait for him to see how beautiful Italy and Greece are. We also booked the bachelorette party (Charleston, look out) and the bridal shower.

As an added touch to the parties, I love sending out formal invitations via snail mail. I partnered with Basic Invite to design these bridal shower invitations. They have every kind of card you can imagine! Once you pick a design, you can change the colors, font, text, etc… it was so easy! (Finally, something easy about wedding planning) Plus, they were under a dollar per card. For more designs, check out Basic Invite’s entire selection of bridal shower invitations.

Camo Dress

Sweater: Piace Boutique (long sleeve version here) / Jacket: Blank NYC / Booties: Nordstrom / Bag: Louis Vuitton / Sunglasses: Karen Walker / Necklace: Kendra Scott  c/o

It’s Friday, y’all! This week literally feels like it has flown by. That may be because I have had so much to do – with the NASCAR season only a few weeks out, there’s so much prep for Daytona! Or it may have to do with the fact that I got entirely too wrapped up in the Serial Podcast. I know I’m about two years late to the game, but lordy that podcast is interesting. I remembered a girlfriend telling me about it and decided that a six-hour roadtrip from D.C. was the perfect time to check it out and help pass the time. I was honestly sad when I got home because I wanted to keep listening! Seriously, if you live under a rock like me and haven’t listened – check it out!

As always, I went on a tangent before discussing what y’all came here for… the dress! For under $30, I feel like I got a steal on this little camo number. It’s perfect for this uncommonly warm winter we’ve been having in the south and will transition easily through spring and summer. To stay warm, I paired it with my (obviously) favorite jacket and booties. It’s starting to sell out in a couple sizes, but this identical version with longer sleeves is available in all sizes.

Blush Sequin Bridesmaid Dress

Dress: Piace Boutique c/o / Heels: Nordstrom / Bag: Chanel

Today is all about my brides and bridesmaids who know the struggle of finding the perfect dress without breaking the bank. With under four months until my wedding (ah!) I have been hit smack in the face with the reality that making all of your best friends happy is tough stuff. I wanted all of the girls to wear floor-length sequined/beaded blush gowns; each one different. As my bridesmaids shopped, I received every comment under the sun – some didn’t like blush, some weren’t totally clear on the color, some couldn’t find a beaded dress right for their body, and some thought all the dresses were outrageously priced. Let this be a cautionary tale to all brides considering this scenario… pick the dresses for them!

Now, it’s too late to dress all my girls in this blush gown from Piace Boutique – many have already purchased their own. But luckily, my beautiful maid of honor Kathleen will be wearing this stunner! The best part about it is that it’s under $70, a price tag you rarely see in the wedding planning process. Be sure to size up one in this dress, it runs a little tight around the waist 🙂
