As it begins to cool down outside, my dry skin practically begs for extra hydration. I have transitioned to my Fall/Winter oils and creams, but I don’t stop there! While I typically reach for a setting spray that locks my makeup into place, once Winter rolls around, I need more. So I have made the swap to Olay Mist Ultimate Hydration Essences and wanted to break down how and why I’ve incorporated them.
Facial mists have always been a vital step in my makeup routine. I bake my undereyes and carve my contour out with powder products, so it’s ESSENTIAL that I spritz with a hydrating spray in order for everything to melt into the skin and leave a natural finish. But even with the perfect makeup application, my skin loses moisture throughout the day. To make matters worse, like hairspray many setting sprays contain alcohol to facilitate their staying power which can further strip your skin.
Luckily, America’s favorite skincare brand Olay, launched their brand-spanking-new Olay Mist Ultimate Hydration Essence. I have been using both the Energizing and Calming formulas and they each have become unique and necessary steps in my routine. After cleansing my skin and before my makeup application, I spritz Olay’s Calming Mist to tone down any redness and inflammation I may have. It’s chock full of aloe leaf and chamomile which soothe my tight Winter skin and fortify its moisture barrier.
I keep the Olay Mist Ultimate Hydration Essence Energizing Spray in my purse to refresh my makeup or boost my skin’s hydration throughout the day. This is especially important to have on hand when I’m traveling because the air in planes tends to leave my skin tight and dull. Olay’s Energizing Mist contains vitamin C and bergamot that instantly wake your skin up and increase hydration by 60% for glowing, dewy skin. An added bonus is that it smells amazing! I did a little research and it looks like Target is the best place to purchase these mists (like you needed another reason to go). They’re only $10 and you can click HERE to shop them. Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried these yet!
Thank you to Olay for sponsoring this post. All thoughts & opinions are my own.
